Job summary

Bosch’s Mobility Platform & Solutions team in Bengaluru seeks an experienced DevSecOps leader to guide multiple teams through secure, automated software delivery. You will shape DevSecOps practices, drive value through improved delivery metrics, and expand security across the value stream.

Ideal candidates bring 12+ years in DevOps, strong program management, and hands-on experience with cloud-native tools and platforms. On-site role in Bengaluru with the Mobility Platform initiatives.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in DevOps, including 2+ years in SecOps.
• Hands-on experience building or leveraging a CDP.
• Managerial experience leading 10+ member engineering team.
• Strong program management of large technology projects.
• Architectural mindset for portfolio-level guidance.
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration between teams.
• Technical skills: Open-Source, DevOps, Cloud security, container-based development, Microservice architecture, MySql, NoSQL DB.
• B.Tech or equivalent degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead DevSecOps teams to achieve frequent releases, secure code, faster lead time.
• Lead migration of tool chains to Central Portfolio DevSecOps Architectural Tool Chain.
• Revenue generation from internal/external customers by offering DevSecOps as a service.

About the role
If you have prior experience of leading teams and organizations that are on a DevOps journey sponsor development of generative culture, support their teams and inspire actions to continuously transform their teams to higher levels of organization performance then you should go through the below mentioned details. We are building our Mobility Solution Team from Scratch in India and hence looking for DevSecOps expert to enable Digitalization of the current systems in India.

Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead DevSecOps teams to achieve more frequent (release on demand), secure, quality code deployments, faster lead time from commit to deploy, faster MTTR, lower change failure rates, and team satisfaction.
• Lead migration of current tool chains to Central Portfolio DevSecOps Architectural Tool Chain
• Revenue generation from internal/external customer by offering DevSecOps as Service
• Achieving a DORA metrics of High and beyond (Elite) at the portfolio level
• Implementation of best in industry practices in DevSecOps
• Employ value-stream mapping to visualize flow, determine metrics and current state of value-added tasks and waste to guide improvements
• Use metrics and future state value stream mapping to identify improvement opportunities in People, Process and Tools.
• Design the organization aligned with the vision and improve communication between cross-functional teams using concepts from Target Operating Models, Conway’s Law, SAFe.
• Passionately champion a vision with support from top management. Relentlessly promote changes across the organization incrementally to effect changes.
• Evangelize measurable business outcomes gained with the improved value stream while honestly contrasting prior performance.
• Project a vision, provide intellectual stimulation, inspire collaborative communication, support specific behaviors and pro-actively recognize personal behaviors.

Capabilities

• Should have strong understanding of software development and IT operations, familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go), knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI), experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Should have ability to automate processes and workflows to improve efficiency and experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Should have strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and ability to think critically and make decisions under pressure.
• Should be able to define Tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) describe how threat agents orchestrate and manage attacks. Continuous Delivery practices to realize continuous governance, risk management and compliance.
• Should be able to ensure Security is made continuously adaptive and auditable by breaking security silos. Security specific practices and integrated toolsets as code (such as security scans) enable automated security KPIs and observable security practices into the DevOps value stream.
• Ensure Security is built into the value stream efficiently with empowered development teams implementing features securely, shift-left security testing, tools for automated feedback.
• Ensure Security is integrated into people, process, technology and governance practices.
• Ensure Value Stream Mapping establishes where security activities and bottlenecks currently happen.

Qualifications

An ideal candidate should have

• A minimum of 12+ years of Experience in DevOps area including 2+ years in SecOps. Management Experience is a bonus.
• Should have hands-on experience on Building or Leveraging a Continuous Delivery Pipeline (CDP) —a high-performance innovation engine capable of delivering market-leading solutions at the speed of business.
• Managerial experience of leading a 10+ Member Engineering team.
• Strong in Program Management of large technology Projects (Ex. Led teams to achieve Architectural migration)
• Architectural Mindset to advise on portfolio level.
• Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration between development and operations teams and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Technology Skills Required: Open-Source Technologies, Strong Understanding of DevOps, Cloud security, container-based development, Microservice Architecture, MySql, NOSql DB
• B. Tech or equivalent degree will is preferred.
