Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a DevSecOps Engineer, Consultant to own cloud architecture, delivery pipelines, observability, and security across our product suite.

You will implement Terraform/Terragrunt patterns, manage ArgoCD pipelines, and drive secure, automated deployments while mentoring junior engineers and partnering with global teams.

Formación

• 3+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE with meaningful production ownership.
• Deep AWS expertise — EKS, IAM, VPC, RDS, S3, CloudFront and surrounding services.
• Strong Kubernetes command: cluster design, scheduling, and hardening for real workloads.
• Production experience with a GitOps toolchain; ArgoCD experience strongly preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Design, plan, and architect end-to-end cloud infrastructure on AWS — VPC topology, IAM strategy, service networking, multi-account structure, cost governance.
• Own Kubernetes cluster operations across environments: provisioning, upgrades, RBAC hardening, network policies, autoscaling, node lifecycle management.
• Build and maintain GitOps delivery pipelines with ArgoCD — auditable, rollback-ready, environment-aware.
• Author reusable, modular infrastructure as code with Terraform and Terragrunt, including remote state management and workspace patterns.
• Design and maintain CI/CD workflows in GitHub Actions — multi-stage pipelines, environment promotion gates, secret injection.
• Manage artifact lifecycles through JFrog Artifactory and enforce container image policies from build through registry to production.
• Integrate SonarQube and security tooling to surface vulnerabilities and enforce quality gates.
• Stand up DataDog observability end-to-end: dashboards, traces, logs, synthetic checks, and SLO tracking.
• Mentor engineers and promote platform standards and self-service tooling.

About the Role

Join a collaborative team building and running production-grade web applications that deliver real business impact. As a Consultant, you'll own platform design and operations across our Product Suite, with a focus on enablement, reliability, and maintenance. You'll apply modern AI tooling to accelerate delivery, shape infrastructure plans from the ground up, and scope and size effort estimates for prospective client engagements — all while mentoring junior engineers and partnering with global teams. This role is based out of Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai, or Pune.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud & Platform Architecture

• Design, plan, and architect end-to-end cloud infrastructure on AWS — VPC topology, IAM strategy, service networking, multi-account structure, and cost governance


• Own Kubernetes cluster operations across environments: provisioning, upgrades, RBAC hardening, network policies, autoscaling, and node lifecycle management

Delivery Pipelines & Automation

• Build and maintain GitOps delivery pipelines with ArgoCD — ensuring every deployment is auditable, rollback-ready, and environment-aware


• Author reusable, modular infrastructure as code with Terraform and Terragrunt, including safe remote state management and workspace patterns


• Design and maintain CI/CD workflows in GitHub Actions — multi-stage pipelines, build matrix strategies, environment promotion gates, and secret injection via Doppler


• Manage artifact lifecycles through JFrog Artifactory and enforce container image policies from build through registry to production


• Integrate SonarQube into the delivery pipeline to surface vulnerabilities and enforce quality gates before code ships


• Integrate with security vulnerability detection tools to enable quality validations

Observability & Security

• Stand up and own DataDog observability end-to-end: dashboards, APM traces, log pipelines, synthetic checks, and SLO tracking tied to real service agreements


• Establish security-first infrastructure practices — threat modelling, least-privilege access, compliance controls, and structured incident response runbooks

Platform Enablement & Team Leadership

• Partner with engineering teams to define platform standards, golden-path tooling, and self-service infrastructure patterns that reduce toil


• Actively use and promote advanced AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI, ChatGPT plugins) to improve development productivity


• Mentor team members and contribute to a collaborative, innovation-driven engineering culture

Reporting Relationships

Reports to a Senior Consultant or Manager within IDT's platform engineering / DevOps practice. Partners with global engineering teams on platform standards and self-service tooling, and mentors junior engineers.

Qualifications

Required

• 3+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering with meaningful production ownership


• Deep, hands-on AWS expertise — EKS, IAM, VPC, RDS, S3, CloudFront, and the services that surround them


• Strong Kubernetes command: has built clusters, debugged scheduling failures, and hardened them for real workloads


• Production experience with a GitOps toolchain; ArgoCD experience strongly preferred


• Terraform at scale — modules, remote state, workspace strategy, and team-safe workflows; Terragrunt a clear advantage


• GitHub Actions pipeline authoring — knows how to keep pipelines fast, secure, and easy for others to maintain


• Docker fluency from base-image selection through multi-stage build optimization and vulnerability scanning


• Hands-on DataDog experience building observability from the ground up, not just reading pre-built dashboards


• Security-first mindset evidenced in day-to-day approach to secrets, credentials, access control, and dependency hygiene


• Clear, precise written communication — architecture decisions, runbooks, and post-mortems worth sharing with the team


• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills


• Bachelor's degree (minimum three-year program) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field

Preferred

• AWS is the required cloud platform; Azure or GCP experience is a plus
