Job summary

State Street is seeking a seasoned DevSecOps Automation expert to design and scale cloud infrastructure, automate everything, and drive cloud transformation across our Core Data platform. This role requires 15+ years of IT infrastructure and cloud experience, with emphasis on DevSecOps, platform engineering, and data management delivery.

Who We Are Looking For.

We are looking for a DevSecOps Automation expert who thrives on building scalable cloud infrastructure systems, driving cloud transformation and automating everything. You will play pivotal role in Architecting and delivering infrastructure automation, cloud migration initiatives and improving the reliability across our Core Data platform. The candidate must have 15+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure and cloud primarily serving as DevSecOps/Cloud Automation Expert in the Platform Engineering, software development and data management delivery area.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Design, develop and maintain frameworks for infrastructure provisioning, deployment, monitoring and scaling.
• Build and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform Enterprise, Ansible
• Strong hands on experience with automation and orchestration tools (Terraform, Ansible)
• Hands of experience with Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), especially in cloud migration or hybrid/multi cloud environments.
• Lead or support cloud migration projects including assessment, planning, execution and validation across AWS or Azure
• Knowledge of networking, DNS, load balancing and security concepts in distributed systems
• Architect and maintain Kubernetes clusters and helm charts for scalable deployment workflows
• Implement robust monitoring, alerting, observability solutions (Azure Log Analytics, ELK)
• Troubleshoot complex system and application issues across cloud and containerized environments
• As an technology expert ensure industry best practice is being adopted in terms of infrastructure architecture, continuous delivery and integration, deployment, monitoring and test automation.
• Partner with internal stake holders to get their app migrated to Azure cloud from on-prem world.
• Collaborate across a variety of teams to enable our Data Platform needs and design, implement, and maintain a secure and scalable infrastructure platform spanning across AWS/Azure and our Data Center
• Collaborating with developers and other team members to identify and implement automated build, test, and deployment processes.
• Troubleshooting issues with CI/CD, IaC pipelines and identifying areas for improvement in the process.
• Ensuring the security and compliance of the CI/CD & IaC pipelines and infrastructure.
• Developing and maintaining scripts and tools to automate the CI/CD & Infra setup process.
• Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and containerization to create immutable reproducible deployments and establish best practices to scale that Infrastructure as Code (IaC) project in a maintainable way.
• Create tools for automating deployment, monitoring, alerting and operations of the overall platform and establish best practices
• Analyze our AWS/Azure Resource usage to optimize for a balance of performance vs cost.
• Design and build systems for high availability, high throughput, data consistency, security, and end user privacy, defining our next generation of data analytics tooling.
• Build, deploy, and manage generative AI apps and intelligent agents using Azure OpenAI Service, AI Foundry or AWS Bedrock.
• Strong understanding of Azure OpenAI, AI search and Foundry services.
• Develop autonomous solutions using LangGraph/Langchain frameworks.
• You will mentor other engineers and promote software engineering best practices across the organization designing systems with monitoring, auditing, reliability, and security at their core.
• Come up with solutions for scaling data systems for various business needs and collaborate in a dynamic and consultative environment.

What We Value

• A deep understanding of CI/CD , Cloud Infra Design, Setup & Monitoring and a strong desire to help teams release frequently to production with a focus on creating reliable high-quality results.
• Experience with globally distributed log & event processing systems with data mesh and data federation as the architectural core is highly desirable.
• Expertise in DevOps, DevSecOps and emergent experience with DataSecOps and Data Governance practices — deep experience with managing and scaling container-based infrastructure-as-code technologies from the CNCF and related orbits
• Hands of experience of Terraform, Ansible, Helm, or other data pipeline systems;
• Expertise with either AWS, Azure, and Services/Tooling such as or like: Terraform, Packer, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, Fluent Bit, Istio (Service Mesh)
• Strong background integrating continuous delivery (CD) with Kubernetes using tools such as Harness, Azure DevOps, and strong Git experience, development methodologies, Helm etc.
• Strong end-to-end ownership and a good sense of urgency to enable proper self-prioritization.
• Maintain live services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system.
• Clear understanding of Storage, Compute & Data services offered by cloud provider.
• Clear understanding on cloud n/w model and n/w security
• Understanding of load balancer, Firewall, DNS, on-prem/cloud connectivity including IP, Subnet, TCP/IP, load balancing, etc
• Understanding of Cloud architecture pillars – Security, Reliability, Cost Optimization, Performance, Operations, etc

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree level qualification in a computer or IT related subject
• 15+ years of DevSecOps experience
• 5+ years of Cloud IaC, AaC, Containerization, Kubernetes (AKS/EKS) with deep expertise in Terraform, Ansible, JSON, YAML, Python & Scripting.

Additional Requirements

• Certification on Azure or AWS
• Experience on Terraform and Hashicorp Certified Terraform Associate
• Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies
• Ability to multi-task, meet aggressive timelines and have strong work ethics.
• Experience of working in the financial industry
