Job summary

dentsu in Mumbai (DGS India) seeks a seasoned DevOps Manager to lead enterprise-scale DevOps initiatives. You will design scalable, highly available systems, drive CI/CD pipelines, and mentor teams across platforms.

The role blends engineering excellence with leadership, requiring strong expertise in Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, and automation, with a track record of delivering robust cloud-based solutions. Location is Mumbai or Bangalore, full-time permanent, reporting to VP – Technology.

Qualifications

• Must have UNIX/Linux sys-admin background.
• Expert in container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI platforms (Jenkins/Bamboo/Travis).
• Experience with Helm, AWS, Ansible, Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leads to deliver secure, reliable, scalable solutions.
• Implement DevOps best practices with peers.
• Automate deployment, testing, delivery, and management across cloud platforms.
• Troubleshoot across development to production environments with performance tuning.

Job Description: Job Title: DevOps Manager Department : Enterprise Technology team Location : Bangalore or Mumbai Reports to VP – Technology Total Work Experience Minimum 10 – 12 Yrs in DevOps DevOps Experience 5 -6 Yrs Role Overview: As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will be a subject matter expert in DevOps practices and tooling. You will have a background in infrastructure engineering and a track record of designing and delivering large-scale, highly available systems. You will be a strong advocate for the team and share assets, ideas, designs, approaches and successes with other product delivery teams. You will be able to balance your engineering skills with strategy and design leadership. We're looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, artificial intelligence, and containerisation. We need our leaders to be versatile, fearless, free thinking, innovative, disruptive, enthusiastic in taking on new problems and inspirational to their reports and peers alike.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with leads to deliver secure, reliable, robust and scalable solutions.
• Identify and implement DevOps engineering best practices in conjunction with your peers, both within Platform Engineering and Technology as a whole
• Ensure the use of continuous delivery pipelines and tools to fully automate deployment, testing, delivery, and management of development, QA and production systems on a variety of cloud platforms.
• Troubleshoot and take ownership of issues in development, test and production environments. Including performance optimization and continuous tuning
• Continuous learning and evaluation of the latest approaches, tools, and technologies.
• Continually collaborate, inspire and think outside of the box to conceive of and build solutions to place Dentsu ahead of the curve and be a leading contributor to DevOps innovation within the industry
• Reporting on environment health, delivery timelines, and DevOps impact

Key Skills and Experience:

• Must be from a UNIX / Linux sys-admin background
• Expert knowledge in container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes)
• Expert knowledge of continuous integration and automated testing
• Experience in one or more popular CI platforms (e.g. Jenkins, Bamboo, Travis)
• Experience with Helm package manager
• Strong experience in AWS cloud platform knowledge of Ansible and Terraform
• Strong TCP/IP skills
• Good understanding of PKI
• Expert scripting skills (bash/sh/ksh)
• Experience in another language (e.g. golang, javascript, python, Perl)
• Experience in Observability Platforms like DataDog, Splunk, Grafana.
• Collect analyse the data and metrics to troubleshoot issues in the platform.
• Integrate security best practise into development workflow
