Job summary

Chubb India is seeking a Technical Lead to own DevOps practices, tooling, and automation patterns for scalable software delivery. You will combine deep technical execution with leadership, coaching, governance, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering, architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and operations.

The role focuses on designing and improving CI/CD pipelines, IaC adoption, containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, and embedding security into the delivery lifecycle

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of DevOps standards, CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and deployment governance across engineering teams.
• Build and optimise automated build, test, security scan, and deployment pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or equivalent platforms.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code adoption using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Helm, or similar technologies to create reusable, governed environments.
• Lead containerisation and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, and managed cloud services across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Establish observability practices across logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, alerts, and runbooks using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog, Splunk, or OpenTelemetry.
• Embed security and compliance into the delivery lifecycle, including secret management, vulnerability scanning, policy-as-code, image scanning, access control, and least-privilege cloud permissions.
• Champion SRE practices including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, incident response, post-incident reviews, capacity planning, resilience engineering, and automation to reduce manual toil.
• Partner with application teams to improve engineering productivity, deployment frequency, release quality, environment stability, and developer self-service.

The role is expected to combine deep technical execution with leadership, coaching, governance, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering, architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of DevOps standards, CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and deployment governance across engineering teams.
