Job summary

HypTechie is seeking a DevOps Lead to design and manage scalable AWS-powered environments, lead multi-project teams, and ensure secure, high-performance deployments.

You will implement automated deployments, auto-scaling, backups, and monitoring across regions. Strong AWS expertise, scripting, and collaboration with development teams are essential for timely delivery.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of system administration experience, with minimum 3+ years in AWS.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, CloudFormation, CloudTrail, etc.
• Exposure to monitoring and configuration tools like Nagios, New Relic, Loggly, LogStash, DataDog, Splunk, Chef, Puppet, Ansible.
• Strong knowledge of containers, microservices, serverless computing, and PaaS solutions.
• Expertise in designing high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Proficiency in monitoring, logging, and cost management tools integrated with AWS.
• Strong shell scripting skills.
• Ability to lead as well as contribute as an individual contributor.
• Proactive, innovative mindset with the ability to deliver under tight timelines.

Responsibilities

• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize using tools like Varnish, Memcache, Redis, CloudFront, and database indexing.
• Automate deployments and repetitive tasks using Shell/Python scripting or tools like Jenkins, Capistrano, CodeDeploy.
• Configure centralized configuration management using Chef, OpsWorks, Puppet, or Ansible.
• Implement auto-scaling, automated backups, and high-availability architectures across AWS regions and availability zones.
• Configure automated alerts and alarms, troubleshoot outages, and manage incident resolution.
• Ensure infrastructure security with restricted IP and port access.
• Manage databases (MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL) including permissions, performance, and backups.
• Collaborate with development teams for issue resolution and new code releases.
• Lead teams across projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and timely delivery.
• Propose innovative improvements to infrastructure for better performance and efficiency.
