Job summary

Zebra Technologies is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud Engineering team in a hybrid setup. You will work on cloud operations across AWS, Azure and GCP, focusing on automation, reliability and scalable deployment pipelines.

Responsibilities include managing IaC with Terraform, container orchestration with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and incident response. You will collaborate with senior engineers to streamline workflows and improve deployment efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux administration and Bash scripting.
• Experience with Terraform or similar IaC tooling.
• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes basics.
• Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Familiarity with cloud providers: AWS, Azure or GCP.

Responsibilities

• Maintain multi-cloud environments with high availability and security.
• Manage provisioning, tagging, cost hygiene and cleanup tasks.
• Assist in IAM/RBAC and least-privilege security practices.
• Triage and resolve build, deployment or environment drift issues.
• Support containerized workloads and Helm chart updates.
• Monitor health and respond to incidents; participate in on-call rotations.
• Develop automation scripts (Python/Bash) and Terraform configurations.

In this role, you will work closely with senior engineering leadership to manage, maintain, and automate our day-to-day cloud operations and deployment pipelines across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).The ideal candidate has strong foundational skills in Linux, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, and CI/CD automation, along with a strong drive to troubleshoot issues, maintain system reliability, and streamline developer workflows.1. Day-to-Day Cloud & Infrastructure MaintenanceSupport and maintain multi-cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP , ensuring high availability, security compliance, and performance.Manage cloud resource provisioning, tagging, cost hygiene, and routine hygiene tasks (cleaning up orphaned disks, unused IPs, obsolete snapshots).Assist in user access management, role provisioning (IAM/RBAC), and adherence to least-privilege security policies.2. CI/CD & Release SupportMaintain and optimize existing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).Assist development teams with daily builds, staging rollouts, production deployments, and rollback procedures.Troubleshoot build failures, deployment pipeline bottlenecks, and environment drift issues.3. Containerization & OrchestrationSupport containerized workloads running on Docker and managed Kubernetes services ( EKS, AKS, GKE ).Assist in rolling out Helm chart updates, ingress configurations, secrets management, and pod scaling policies.4. Monitoring, Observability & Incident ResponseMonitor platform health, logs, and alerts using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch, or ELK/OpenSearch .Participate in on-call rotations and first-response triage for operational incidents, identifying root causes and escalating when necessary.Assist in running routine backup, restore, and disaster recovery verification checks.5.
