Job summary

Tekskills Inc. is seeking an experienced Java DevOps engineer to lead design, development, and maintenance of Java applications with a strong focus on performance and reliability.

You will drive automation across testing, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code using Terraform, Ansible, and Chef, while enabling scalable deployment via Docker and Kubernetes. Ongoing improvement of monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on development in AWS, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience designing/maintaining Java-based applications with high performance and reliability.
• Strong CI/CD automation and IaC experience; able to mentor teams on automation practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and maintenance of Java applications with performance and reliability in mind.
• Drive automation by building automated testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and IaC deployment processes.

• Hands on Development experience of 5+ years in AWS , Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, Ansible

In this role you will be:

1. Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Java-based applications, ensuring they meet high standards of performance, scalability, and reliability.

2. Drive automation initiatives by developing automated testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and deployment processes.

3. Architect and implement robust CI/CD pipelines using automation tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI, automating build, test, and deployment workflows.

4. Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef, to provision and manage cloud resources efficiently.

5. Establish automated testing strategies, including unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing, to maintain the quality and stability of Java applications.

6. Champion the adoption of automation best practices across the organization, providing guidance and mentorship to team members on automation techniques and tools.

7. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define technical solutions, and implement features aligned with business objectives.

8. Utilize containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes to streamline deployment processes and enhance scalability.

9. Implement and maintain automated monitoring and alerting systems to ensure application performance and reliability, leveraging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.

10. Stay updated on emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends related to automation, Java development, and DevOps practices, incorporating relevant advancements into our processes and workflows.
