Job summary

Tekskills Inc. is seeking a seasoned DevOps/Automation Engineer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of Java-based applications in a fast-paced environment.

You will drive automation initiatives, build CI/CD pipelines, and implement infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible, while mentoring peers on best practices in automation and cloud-native delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on development in AWS, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience leading design, development and maintenance of Java-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and maintenance of Java-based applications with performance and scalability in mind.
• Drive automation by developing automated testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and deployment processes.
• Architect and implement robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI to automate build, test, and deployment workflows.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible to provision cloud resources.
• Establish automated testing strategies including unit, integration and end-to-end testing for Java apps.
• Mentor team members on automation best practices and tools across the organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical solutions aligned with business goals.
• Utilize Docker and Kubernetes to streamline deployment and improve scalability.
• Implement and maintain automated monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack to ensure reliability.
• Stay updated on automation, Java development, and DevOps trends to enhance processes.

• Hands on Development experience of 5+ years in AWS , Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, Ansible

In this role you will be:

1. Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Java-based applications, ensuring they meet high standards of performance, scalability, and reliability.

2. Drive automation initiatives by developing automated testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and deployment processes.

8. Utilize containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes to streamline deployment processes and enhance scalability.

9. Implement and maintain automated monitoring and alerting systems to ensure application performance and reliability, leveraging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.

10. Stay updated on emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends related to automation, Java development, and DevOps practices, incorporating relevant advancements into our processes and workflows.
