Job summary

Bounteous is seeking a DevOps Engineer - GCP to join our Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team in India. The role focuses on hands-on cloud provisioning, IaC, containerization, and automated deployment pipelines to deliver scalable, secure cloud-native solutions.

You will collaborate with development, platform, and security teams to ensure high availability, cost-conscious operation, and efficient incident response. 4–7 years of experience with GCP and Kubernetes is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infra, or Platform Eng.
• Hands-on with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience deploying apps with Docker and Kubernetes (GKE).
• Strong Terraform experience for IaC and automation.
• Proficient CI/CD design and implementation experience.
• Linux administration and basic networking fundamentals.
• Familiar with Agile/DevOps practices and collaboration.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer - GCP to join our Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building, automating, and supporting cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

In this role, you will provision and manage cloud infrastructure, implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerize applications, automate deployment pipelines, and monitor cloud environments to ensure high availability, security, and operational efficiency. You will collaborate closely with application development teams, platform engineers, and security teams to enable reliable and scalable cloud-native solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provision, configure, and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform

• Experience deploying and managing applications using Docker and Kubernetes (GKE)
• Strong experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with Linux system administration and networking fundamentals
• Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GitOps tools such as Argo CD

• Exposure to service mesh technologies (Istio) is an advantage
