Job summary

Description:

We're hiring a DevOps Engineer to design, build, and run our cloud infrastructure and delivery pipelines on Azure. You will work with development and operations teams to automate deployments, run containerized workloads, and keep the platform secure, reliable, and scalable. Our stack is Linux-based, so strong Linux and shell scripting skills are required.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage Azure infrastructure, with a focus on networking: VNets, subnets, NSGs, peering, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Private Endpoints, Azure Firewall, Load Balancer, Application Gateway and DNS.
• Write and maintain Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, including reusable modules, remote state management and environment promotion.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions, including reusable workflows, self-hosted runners, secrets management and deployment approval gates.
• Containerize applications with Docker and manage image builds, registries (ACR) and image security scanning.
• Deploy, operate and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters (AKS preferred), including Helm charts, ingress controllers, network policies, autoscaling and RBAC.
• Automate operational tasks using Bash/Shell scripting on Linux systems.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, latency and routing problems across hybrid and cloud environments.
• Hands‑on experience in datadog
• Apply security best practices: least‑privilege access, secrets management (Azure Key Vault) and network segmentation.
• Write documentation for infrastructure, runbooks and operational procedures.
• Join incident response, root cause analysis and continuous improvement work.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Linux: Strong hands‑on experience administering Linux systems (Ubuntu, Azure linux), including processes, services, permissions, networking and package management.
• Scripting: Advanced Bash/Shell scripting for automation, plus working knowledge of tools like [code]sed[/code], [code]awk[/code], [code]grep[/code], [code]jq[/code] and [code]curl[/code].
• Azure (Networking focus): Solid understanding of Azure networking components, hybrid connectivity, routing, DNS, and network security design.
• Terraform: Experience writing modular, production‑grade Terraform code and managing state and workspaces.
• GitHub Actions: Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD workflows end to end.
• Docker: Experience writing optimized Dockerfiles and managing container lifecycles.
• Kubernetes: Hands‑on experience deploying and troubleshooting workloads, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps and Secrets
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, subnetting/CIDR, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, load balancing, firewalls and NAT.
• Experience with Git and branching strategies.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.

Good to Have

• Introductory knowledge of a programming language such as Python or Go
• Experience with Kustomize, or GitOps tools like Argo CD or Flux.
• Hands‑on experience with service meshes such as Istio
• Knowledge of DevSecOps tools like Trivy, SonarQube or Checkov.
