Job summary

Siemens Technology and Services Private Limited seeks a DevOps Engineer (Cloud & Platform Automation) to design, build, and run containerized apps on Docker and Kubernetes in production. You will scale AWS cloud infrastructure with a focus on performance, security, and cost, and automate delivery with GitLab CI/CD.

You will implement real-time data pipelines with Kafka, establish robust monitoring with CloudWatch/Prometheus/Grafana, and advance GitOps using ArgoCD and Terraform IaC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or platform automation.
• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes in production.
• Deep experience with AWS services and cloud architecture.
• Solid experience with GitLab CI/CD automation.
• Knowledge of Kafka for data streaming and processing.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Hands-on with GitOps practices and ArgoCD.
• Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Responsibilities

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer (Cloud & Platform Automation).

You’ll make a difference by:

• Designing, building, and managing containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Developing and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS with a focus on performance, security, and cost optimization.
• Implementing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD to enable rapid and reliable software delivery.
• Building and managing real-time data pipelines and streaming solutions using Kafka.
• Establishing and enhancing monitoring and observability frameworks using tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Driving adoption of GitOps principles using tools such as ArgoCD for streamlined deployment and configuration management.
• Automating infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
• Troubleshooting complex system issues and ensuring high availability and reliability of applications.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve development, deployment, and operational workflows.

You’ll win us over by:

• Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Having 4-6years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or platform automation roles.
• Demonstrating strong hands-on expertise in Docker and Kubernetes in production-grade environments.
• Bringing deep experience with AWS services and cloud architecture.
• Possessing solid experience in CI/CD automation using GitLab CI/CD.
• Showing strong knowledge of Kafka for distributed data streaming and processing.
• Having expertise in monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Demonstrating hands-on experience with GitOps practices and tools (ArgoCD).
• Exhibiting strong proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Displaying excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Good to have:

• Familiarity with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
• Working knowledge of Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) for identity and access management.

Nice to have:

• Experience with workflow automation tools such as Camunda.
• Knowledge of AWS security best practices and services.
• Exposure to Azure cloud platform.
• Proficiency in Go (Golang) for building automation tools or services.
• Understanding of Zero Trust security principles and modern security architectures.
