Mployee.me in Pune, India, seeks a Software Engineer - Devops to help shape the future of global payments. You will design, implement, and operate CI/CD pipelines and container workflows across environments.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of experience in DevOps/SRE/Platform roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Jenkins (pipeline as code, shared libraries, agents/executors).
• GitHub repos, branching strategies, PR workflows; GitHub Actions exposure is a plus.
• Docker image creation, optimization, registries; multi-stage builds and image promotion across environments.
• Linux administration (systemd, networking, package management, troubleshooting).
• Ansible playbooks, roles, inventory, vault.
• Proficiency in Bash or Python scripting.
• Experience implementing automated tests and quality gates in CI/CD.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus/Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, Datadog, Splunk).
• Should have worked in CI/CD environments used for deployments.
• Basic understanding of DevOps or Network layer of a Microservice.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins integrated with GitHub PR workflows, quality gates, and release automation.

• Implement and evolve monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and Security to diagnose issues and improve delivery throughput.
• Document standards, golden paths, and operational procedures.
• Plan environment upgrades and migrations with minimal downtime.
• Contribute to platform cost, performance, and scalability improvements.

What you ll own

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins (declarative/scripted, multibranch, shared libraries) integrated with GitHub PR workflows, quality gates, and release automation.
• Build, version, and secure Docker images using multi-stage builds; manage image registries, tags, and promotion across environments.
• Create and maintain Ansible playbooks/roles and inventories to provision and configure Linux-based systems and applications with idempotency and drift control.
• Administer and harden Linux servers, including performance tuning, networking, access controls, patching, and backup/restore procedures.
• Automate repetitive build, test, deploy, and operational tasks using Bash/Python (or similar), delivering reusable tooling and self-service workflows for engineers.
• Implement and evolve monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Partner with developers, QA, and Security to diagnose pipeline and environment issues, improve feedback loops, and raise delivery throughput and reliability.
• Document standards, golden paths, and operational procedures.
• Plan and execute environment upgrades and migrations, minimizing downtime and risk.
• Contribute to platform cost, performance, and scalability improvements, including right-sizing agents/runners and optimizing build/test execution.
• Support release and change management processes, ensuring traceability from commit to production and clear rollback/rollback testing strategies.
• Track and report key delivery and reliability metrics (pipeline success rate, lead time for changes) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

What you ll bring
