Job summary

JungleWorks is seeking a DevOps Engineer in Mohali to join a dynamic team focused on scale, reliability, and automation. You will collaborate with developers and IT to manage releases, deploy microservices, and ensure high-availability systems.

The role requires hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CloudFormation, and Jenkins, plus strong scripting in Python or Bash. You will work with monitoring tools like Kibana, Grafana, Nagios, CloudWatch, and Sentry.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech./MCA or equivalent.
• 2+ years with Docker, Kubernetes and microservice architecture.
• Strong automation and CI/CD experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Jenkins, etc.
• Experience with SaaS products.
• Knowledge of DNS, CDN, SSL, Git, Linux, and networking concepts (VPC, subnetting, VPNs).
• Willingness to work flexible shifts.
• 2+ years with web servers like Apache, Nginx, Haproxy.
• Ability to set up monitoring tools (Kibana, Grafana, Nagios, CloudWatch, Sentry).
• Proficiency in Python and Bash.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers and IT for code releases and CI/CD pipelines.
• Handle Docker, Kubernetes, and microservice architecture deployments.
• Maintain high-availability and scalable systems.
• Configure and manage web servers ( Apache, Nginx, Haproxy).
• Automate infrastructure with Terraform, CloudFormation, and Jenkins.
• Manage DNS, CDN, SSL, Git, Linux, and networking concepts.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations for production systems.
• Monitor with Kibana, Grafana, Nagios, CloudWatch, and Sentry.
• Create scripts in Python and Bash for automation.
• Support MongoDB replica sets and MySQL master/slave setups.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Proficiency with web servers such as Apache, Nginx, and Haproxy
• Thorough comprehension of high-availability architectures
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservice architecture
• Strong proficiency in automation tooling and CI/CD (Terraform, CloudFormation, Jenkins, etc.)
• Sound understanding of DNS, CDN, SSL, Git, Firewalls, Linux, and networking concepts (VPC, subnetting, VPNs, etc.)
• Participation in 24/7 on-call rotations for mission-critical production systems
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Kibana, Grafana, Nagios, CloudWatch, Sentry, etc.)
