Job summary

Siam Computing in Chennai is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our team and drive cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and automation initiatives. The role offers Chennai on-site work with remote options and exposure to AWS services, containers, and modern deployment practices.

You will collaborate with development teams to support deployments across monolithic, SOA, microservices, and event-driven architectures, implement IaC, and ensure security and reliability of production systems.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Experience configuring and managing web servers (Nginx, Apache) with SSH, FTP, SFTP, SMTP, and SCP.
• Experience deploying and managing AWS services: EC2, Lambda, SQS, API Gateway, S3, IAM, Auto Scaling, Load Balancers, and cloud networking.
• Implement automated backup strategies for application files, databases, and cloud storage.
• Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins/GitHub Actions, AWS CodeBuild/CodeDeploy, or similar tools.
• Manage relational and NoSQL databases: MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
• Deploy and manage containerised apps using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.
• Collaborate with development teams to support deployments across Monolithic, SOA, Microservices, and Event-Driven architectures.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with IaC tools such as Terraform, Helm, or CloudFormation.
• Prepare technical documentation including architecture diagrams, deployment guides, disaster recovery plans, and runbooks.
• Ensure infrastructure security by implementing security best practices, access controls, vulnerability management, and periodic maintenance.

Roles & Responsibilities

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Configure and manage web servers including Nginx and Apache along with supporting services such as SSH, FTP, SFTP, SMTP, and SCP.
• Deploy and manage cloud services including EC2, Lambda, SQS, APIGateway, S3, IAM, Auto Scaling, Load Balancers, AWS Secrets Manager, LightSail, Marketplace solutions, and cloud networking services.
• Implement automated backup strategies for application files, databases, and cloud storage using scripting and scheduling tools.
• Design, implement, and maintain secure and automated CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins/ GitHub Actions, AWS CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, or similar deployment tools. Along with Automated testing integration (unit, integration, contract, performance, chaos).
• Setup and Manage relational and NoSQL databases including MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB from an infrastructure perspective.
• Deploy and manage containerised applications using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and container orchestration platforms.
• Collaborate with development teams to support application deployments across Monolithic, Service-Oriented, Microservices, and Event-Driven architectures.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Helm, or CloudFormation.
• Prepare technical documentation including infrastructure architecture diagrams, deployment guides, disaster recovery plans, and operational runbooks.
• Ensure infrastructure security by implementing security best practices, access controls, vulnerability management, and periodic system maintenance.
