Developer for Analytics platform with Java/Python

What you'll do

We are looking for a seasoned cloud architect to join our team focused on building cutting-edge tools for automation and integration. You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and deploying scalable solutions that streamline workflows and enable seamless integration across platforms. With expertise in Java, Python, and Apache Spark, you will help drive innovation and operational efficiency within our organization.

As part of our team, you will work on:

Tool Development for Automation:

• Design and develop robust, scalable tools for automating repetitive tasks and processes.
• Implement APIs and microservices to enable cross-platform integrations.

Integration Solutions:

• Build and maintain data and application integration solutions using Java and Python.
• Work with diverse APIs, message queues (e.g., Kafka), and enterprise systems to ensure seamless data flow.

Data Processing and Analytics:

• Develop pipelines and workflows to handle data transformations and integration requirements.

Technical Leadership:

• Provide guidance to the engineering team, review code, and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Lead architectural discussions and contribute to technology roadmaps.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists, and DevOps engineers, to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and scalable designs.

Performance Optimization:

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance, ensuring reliability and scalability.

What you bring

• 4+ years’ experience as a software developer.
• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Informatics, or related field with over 8 years’ experience.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, data processing frameworks, and cloud-native architecture.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills - addressing internal teams, partners, and customers appropriately on different organizational levels.
• Expert technical background to effectively innovate and work with engineering teams.
• Experience with architecting cloud-native applications including orchestrating monitoring and distributed deployment strategies.
• Good understanding of containerization and CI/CD pipelines.
• Multiple years of experience in data management, data engineering, or analytics topics, including data lake approaches.
• Ability to quickly learn new areas such as SAP Business Applications (S/4HANA, HCM, ISBN, CX).
