Job summary

AssetMark Global Wealth in Hyderabad seeks an Engineer to elevate Developer Experience by building self-service platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation on Azure and Kubernetes. You will partner with engineering teams to reduce friction and improve software delivery velocity.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years in DevOps, Platform/Developer Experience roles, strong GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps experience, and proficiency with Terraform and scripting. Fintech familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is required or equivalent practical experience.
• 5–8 years of experience in Developer Experience, Platform Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Software Engineering roles.
• Strong experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Experience implementing CI/CD practices in production environments.
• Experience building deployment automation and supporting frequent, low-risk software releases.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and Kubernetes-based application delivery.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or similar technologies.
• Proficiency in scripting or software development using Python, Go, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages.
• Experience with observability platforms, monitoring, and software delivery metrics.

Responsibilities

• Design and build self-service developer platforms, tooling, and workflows that improve engineering productivity and reduce cognitive load.
• Partner with engineering teams to identify pain points in the software development lifecycle and implement scalable solutions.
• Create frameworks that enable teams to build, test, deploy, and operate applications consistently and efficiently.
• Measure and improve developer experience using engineering productivity metrics, feedback loops, and adoption data.
• Drive standardization and best practices across development environments, deployment workflows, and engineering tooling.
• Design, build, and maintain modern CI/CD platforms using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and related tooling.
• Implement and champion true Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment practices, including automated testing, quality gates, deployment validation, and rollback mechanisms.
• Optimize build, test, and deployment pipelines to reduce lead time and improve developer feedback cycles.
• Build deployment automation that enables safe, frequent, and reliable releases across multiple environments.
• Partner with application teams to improve release processes and eliminate manual deployment activities.
• Develop and maintain cloud-native developer platforms running on Azure and Kubernetes.
• Build reusable infrastructure and deployment patterns using Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform.
• Improve application onboarding, service provisioning, secrets management, and environment management through automation and self-service capabilities.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering and SRE teams to ensure reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Engineer to join our Developer Experience Engineering team. In this role, you will design, build, and evolve the systems, platforms, and workflows that enable our engineering teams to deliver software quickly, safely, and reliably.

This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, platform engineering, and developer productivity. You will focus on creating a world-class developer experience by reducing friction in the software development lifecycle, improving deployment automation, and enabling true Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Developer Experience & Engineering Productivity

• Experience supporting Kubernetes-based development platforms.

• Experience working within highly regulated environments such as financial services, healthcare, or fintech.
