Best Of Breed Software Solutions India Private Limited Official is seeking a backend developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Node.js and TypeScript. You will build RESTful APIs, implement core business logic, and collaborate with frontend, QA, and DevOps teams.

The role covers microservices and event-driven architectures, database design, and performance optimization, with emphasis on testing and secure coding practices.

Qualifications

• 3-15 years of experience in backend development.
• Strong knowledge of Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience with REST APIs and microservices architectures.
• Proficient in SQL and NoSQL databases and data modeling.
• Familiarity with authentication/authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth 2.0).
• Experience with message brokers (Kafka or RabbitMQ) and caching (Redis).
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines; cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Knowledge of testing (unit/integration) and code review practices.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Build scalable RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services.
• Implement business logic, authentication, authorization, and data validation.
• Develop and maintain microservices and event-driven applications where required.
• Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and data access layers.
• Troubleshoot application issues and optimize performance and resource utilization.
• Implement unit, integration, and automated testing.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, architects, QA, and DevOps teams.

Required Technical Knowledge

• Node.js architecture, event loop, asynchronous programming, promises, and async/await.
• Node.js streams, buffers, worker threads, and performance optimization.
• Express.js and/or NestJS frameworks.
• REST API design, HTTP methods, status codes, API versioning, and OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Microservices architecture and distributed application fundamentals.
• SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.

• Database modeling, indexing, transactions, and query optimization.
• Authentication and authorization using JWT, OAuth 2.0, and role-based access control.
