Job summary

Arctic Wolf is seeking an Associate Software Developer (Developer 2) in Bangalore to join our pipeline team. You will design and build scalable backend services using Python and Go, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and work with Docker and Kubernetes to deploy microservices.

Collaboration with QA and product managers is essential to deliver high-quality features. The role requires 1–3 years in backend development, understanding of RESTful APIs, and familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience in backend development using Python and Go.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and SOA.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
  • Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Responsibilities

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Developer 2 to be part of making this happen. We are looking for a passionate and motivated Associate Software Developer to join our pipeline team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python and Golang
  • Write clean, efficient, and testable code with proper documentation and unit testing
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using modern DevOps practices
  • Work with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) to build, deploy, and manage microservices
  • Collaborate with team members, QA, and product managers to deliver high-quality features
  • Monitor and optimize PostgreSQL database queries and schema design
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning
  • Apply test-driven development (TDD) principles in day-to-day work
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to write original code to solve complex problems without reliance on AI-generated solutions
  • Contribute in an agile and fast-paced development environment with a strong sense of ownership
  • Embrace cloud-native development practices with security fundamentals in mind
Required Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of hands‑on experience in backend development using Python and Go
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and service‑oriented architecture
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions
  • Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration
  • Basic understanding of cloud-native application development and deployment
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment
  • Team player with a high sense of ownership and urgency
  • Outcome‑oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills
  • Understanding of software security fundamentals
Nice to Have
  • Exposure to monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana stack)
  • Experience with security or endpoint data pipelines is a plus
  • Understanding of message queues (e.g., Kafka, SQS)
  • Experience with React
