Job summary

National Power Engineering Company in Siliguri seeks a detailing engineer to prepare fabrication, shop, and erection drawings for steel structures such as gantries and bridges.

You will develop drawings from approved GA drawings and client inputs, prepare part drawings and BOM, and coordinate with design engineers and workshop teams to ensure accurate and feasible drawings. The role requires adherence to IS standards, revision control, and timely submission to support fabrication and dispatch.

• Prepare detailed fabrication, shop, and erection drawings for steel structures.

• Prepare part drawings, assembly drawings, cutting lists, and BOM for workshop execution.
• Coordinate closely with design engineers, project team, and Siliguri workshop production team to ensure drawing accuracy and feasibility.
• Revise drawings as per client comments, site inputs, and internal review feedback.
• Ensure drawings comply with IS standards, quality norms, and NPEC project requirements.
• Support fabrication and machining teams by resolving drawing-related technical issues.
• Maintain proper drawing control, revision history, and documentation.
• Assist in preparation of as-built drawings after project completion.
• Use detailing software such as AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, or equivalent.
• Ensure timely submission of drawings to avoid delays in fabrication and dispatch
