Job summary

AECOM in Bengaluru is seeking a Designer – CAD/BIM (Rail) to join the Enterprise Capabilities team. The candidate will support BIM workflows, create 3D models, and produce drawings aligned with project standards.

Role requires a Diploma in engineering and 3+ years of related experience, with proficiency in MicroStation, InRoads, OpenRoads/OpenRail, and AutoCAD/Civil3D. Hybrid work model in Bengaluru/Gurugram is offered.

Qualifications

• Diploma (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline.
• 3+ Years Experience in the similar field.
• Experience and proficiency in MicroStation and InRoads, OpenRoads, OpenRail, or other BIM Software (AutoCAD, Civil3D, Geopak, etc.)
• Engineer in Training Certification (EIT)

Responsibilities

• Provides training and technical support to design staff on the Building Information Modeling system, which provides 3D models using project specifications and content.
• Direct project support and production to assigned projects and create the drawings as required using the standards and content to meet the job requirements (objects within the drawing, doors, lights, etc.).
• Applies industry knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles and technical capabilities.
• Completes assigned work independently and receives general guidance and direction on new projects, tasks and priorities.
• Accountable for larger portions of a project or process.

Job Description

• Typically professionally certified in a technical discipline.
• Completes assigned work independently and receives general guidance and direction on new projects, tasks and priorities.
• Accountable for larger portions of a project or process.
• Impact of work is typically on internal stakeholders with opportunities to work with external stakeholders and across business areas or functions.
• Analyzes issues and identifies solutions using existing techniques, and proposes approaches for novel issues.
• Exercises independent judgement in determining how work is performed.

• Adjusts to new processes or changing assignments, and considers alternative approaches to complete work.

Qualifications

• Diploma (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college, institute or university.
• 3+ Years Experience in the similar field.
• Experience and proficiency in MicroStation and InRoads, OpenRoads, OpenRail, or other BIM Software (AutoCAD, Civil3D, Geopak, etc.)
• Engineer in Training Certification (EIT)
