Job summary

Assystem is seeking a skilled Design & Review Expert – Civil in Chennai with 6 years of experience in civil engineering design, technical reviews, and quality assurance. The role involves reviewing drawings, calculations, and documentation to ensure compliance with codes and project specs.

The candidate will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders, ensuring timely deliverables and adherence to safety and quality standards. Early joiners are welcome.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in civil engineering design, design checking, or technical review.
• Experience in infrastructure, buildings, transportation, or other civil engineering projects, as applicable.
• Ability to independently review technical deliverables and coordinate with design teams.
• Strong knowledge of IS/IRC codes and design standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and civil design software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and validate civil engineering designs, drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Conduct technical reviews of design submissions to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with applicable standards.
• Identify design discrepancies, technical issues, and potential risks, and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Review design modifications and ensure proper incorporation of technical comments.
• Support design optimization, value engineering, and resolution of technical queries.
• Monitor design deliverables to ensure timely submission and adherence to project requirements.
• Maintain design review records, technical reports, and documentation.
