About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Design Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of graphic, web, and UI/UX designers.
• Assign projects and tasks based on team members skills, experience, and workload.
• Provide creative direction, constructive feedback, and guidance to improve team performance.
• Conduct regular design reviews and ensure work meets established quality standards.
• Identify skill gaps and support team members through coaching, training, and development.
• Foster a collaborative, creative, and positive team environment.

Project & Workflow Management

• Oversee multiple design projects from concept to final delivery.
• Plan project timelines, priorities, resources, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Developers, Marketing Teams, Content Writers, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress and ensure deliverables are completed within agreed timelines.
• Identify potential bottlenecks, resource constraints, and project risks and take corrective action.
• Manage multiple priorities while ensuring consistency and quality across projects.

Creative Direction & Quality Control

• Establish and maintain design standards, guidelines, and best practices across projects.
• Review and approve designs before final delivery.
• Ensure consistency in branding, typography, colors, layouts, visual hierarchy, and user experience.
• Provide creative direction for websites, landing pages, mobile applications, marketing materials, social media creatives, and other digital assets.
• Ensure designs are aligned with client requirements, business objectives, and current design trends.
• Encourage experimentation with new ideas, tools, technologies, and design approaches.

UI/UX & Web Design

• Guide the team in developing intuitive and user-focused UI/UX designs.
• Review wireframes, user flows, mockups, prototypes, and design systems.
• Ensure responsive and user-friendly designs across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
• Work closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of approved designs.
• Promote usability, accessibility, consistency, and performance-focused design practices.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Participate in client discussions to understand requirements, expectations, and feedback.
• Present design concepts, recommendations, and solutions to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Handle design-related queries, revisions, and escalations professionally.
• Translate business and client requirements into clear creative direction for the design team.
• Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

Process Improvement

• Establish efficient design workflows, review processes, and documentation standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve team productivity, quality, and turnaround time.
• Introduce relevant tools, methodologies, and best practices to streamline design operations.
• Maintain organized design libraries, assets, templates, and brand guidelines.
• Stay updated with emerging design trends, AI-powered design tools, technologies, and industry best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5 8 years of professional experience in Graphic Design, Web Design, UI/UX Design, or a related field.
• Previous experience in a Design Lead, Design Manager, Senior Designer, or similar leadership role.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise across web, graphic, UI/UX, and digital design.
• Strong proficiency in tools such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe XD, or similar design applications.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, responsive design, typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy.
• Experience managing and mentoring design teams.
• Strong project planning, prioritization, and resource management skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to design quality.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, creative, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with international clients or global design teams.

• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Trello, Asana, ClickUp, or similar project management platforms.
• Experience with motion graphics, animation, or video editing is an added advantage.
