Job summary

onsemi in Bengaluru is seeking a Design Manager to build and lead a new embedded MCU/DSP design team. You will guide the development of digital compute products and benchmark systems for diverse applications.

Bring 12+ years in VLSI design with leadership, experience in CPU/MCU subsystems, and a strong track record in semiconductor product development.

You will mentor global teams, shape design methodologies, and drive robust, differentiation-focused design flows to accelerate product delivery.

Qualifications

• B.Tech or M.Tech in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of strong technical experience across VLSI design with leadership.
• Extensive background in semiconductor product development or IPs.
• Experience with embedded CPUs hardware/firmware.
• Ability to define strategic actions with trade-off analyses.

The Role

We are looking for a Design Manager with experience in the development of embedded MCU/DSP systems, to build and manage a new product design team. You will develop a series of digital compute products, and benchmark such systems for a variety of applications and driving the necessary improvements for differentiation

Qualifications

What You’ll Need

• B.Tech / M.Tech in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
• At least 12 years of strong technical experience across any domain of VLSI design, with strong leadership and team management credentials
• An extensive technical background within the development of semiconductor products or sub-components (IPs)
• Experience with embedded CPUs, from a hardware and software/firmware perspective
• Ability to define strategic actions, with appropriate design trade-off analyses

What Else You May Bring(Experience in some of the following areas is a plus)

• Experience in the design of CPU/MCU (sub)systems, compute functions and accelerators
• Development of signal processing components or processing systems
• Programming in Python for automation and C/C++ for embedded software
• Definition of design intent: one or more of specification, microarchitecture, structural / functional assessments (CDC, test readiness), verification methods (formal / simulation), physical design (synthesis, timing/power optimisation), process technology aspects, etc.
• Experience in FPGA prototyping
• Awareness in mixed-signal design and verification
