Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in India seeks a skilled Operations & Maintenance professional to monitor turbine auxiliary systems and support start-up, shutdown, and load changes. You will analyze data, implement preventive maintenance, and coordinate multi-discipline activities.

The role requires troubleshooting of pumps and related equipment, adherence to safety standards, and thorough documentation across teams. This position is on-site and involves shutdown planning and contractor supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor turbine auxiliary systems including lube oil, seal oil, hydraulic, vacuum, and cooling water systems.
• Support turbine startup, shutdown and load variation activities.
• Analyze operational data and identify performance deviations.
• Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance of auxiliary equipment.
• Troubleshoot failures in pumps, heat exchangers, filters, valves, and piping systems.
• Coordinate breakdown maintenance and minimize downtime.
• Maintain equipment history and reliability records.
• Identify opportunities for energy efficiency and system improvement.
• Investigate issues such as oil contamination, pressure fluctuations, and temperature rise.
• Support root cause analysis for system failures; implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure safety compliance and participate in safety audits, risk assessments, hazard identification.
• Maintain housekeeping and adherence to permit-to-work systems.
• Maintain operation logs, maintenance reports, incident reports; assist in SOPs and maintenance procedures development.
• Work with turbine operation, electrical, instrumentation, and maintenance teams.
• Supervise contractors and ensure quality execution of jobs.
• Participate in shutdown planning and execution.

• Documentation & ReportingMaintain operation logs, maintenance reports, and incident reports.Prepare technical reports on system performance and failures.Assist in standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintenance procedures development.
• Coordination & SupportWork closely with turbine operation team, electrical, instrumentation, and maintenance teams.Supervise contractors and ensure quality execution of jobs.Participate in shutdown planning and execution.
