A global engineering consultancy is seeking a Structural Engineer to join their Towers and Telecom department in Hyderabad. The role involves designing wind-affected structures, conducting static calculations, and preparing detailed designs and drawings. Candidates should have an M. Tech in Structural Engineering, at least 2 years of experience, and proficiency in design standards and software. Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential. The position offers the opportunity to work on sustainable engineering projects.

Overview

Design Engineer - Structural at Ramboll. As our new Structural Engineer, you will be part of our Towers and Telecom department and work on design of wind-affected structures such as masts and towers.

Responsibilities

• Perform static calculations on large and small projects, focusing on the assessment and design of new structures.
• Design mast and tower structures in steel and concrete for telecom projects, including tender and detailed designs.
• Design and drawings for the strengthening of steel and concrete structures.
• Prepare structural drawings and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Analyze the geotechnical report to prepare concrete foundation for masts and towers.
• Assist senior engineer in delivering projects on time.

Qualifications

• M. Tech Structural Engineering
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in design work is required. Proficiency in design standards such as IS 456, IS-875, IS 1893, IS-800, and international standards like ACI 318 and EN 1992 is highly advantageous.
• Proficient in modeling and designing steel and concrete structures using STAAD or ETabs software.
• Skilled in CAD tools such as AutoCAD or Zwcad.
• Comprehensive technical knowledge in structural engineering.
• Ability to work systematically and focus on assigned tasks.
• Must possess strong teamwork skills.
• Strong communication skills in English, Hindi, and Telugu.
