KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create CAD drawings, 3D models, assemblies as per design standards, customer requirements and ensure release in PLM/ERP System
• Mechanical / Electrical validation of various components
• Investigation in alternative material or different manufacturing technologies
• Redesign of noncritical parts with approval
• Cost analysis and manufacturing optimization proposals
• Preparing of technical document for internal or external use
• Normal administration work if required

QUALIFICATIONS & PREFERRED SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, with 5+years of experience
• 3+ years experience in design and development of electro‑mechanical products with sound knowledge of design of moulded, sheet metal, machined, cast component design
• Should have good expertise in product design tools like Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and FEA as required for product design and development
• Knowledge of design calculations and relevant product standards such as IEC, etc.
• Analytical skill must include understanding component design/ selection, stresses, fatigue life, component fits and establishing efficient, ergonomic methods of assembly
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining moulding, stamping, casting, welding and soldering
• MS office expertise in excel, others such as word, power point presentation
• Strong commitment to team environment dynamics with the ability to contribute and follow leadership directives at appropriate
• Proficiency in English (both written and spoken). German language skills will be an added advantage.
• Ability to work in an international, multilingual engineering team
