Hitachi Energy is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for Power Transformers to join the Global Engineering Center in Vadodara, India. You will work in an international team focused on 765 kV class transformers and related components.

Responsibilities include tender-stage specification, electrical design quotations, BOM preparation, and coordinating across a worldwide factory network while upholding Hitachi Energy's safety and integrity values.

Qualifications

• B.E / B. Tech Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years' experience working in Electrical design.
• Understanding of Transformer Electrical Design, Thermal, Dielectrics, Short circuit and sound performance and transformer mechanics
• Should have good understanding of IEEE Standards & Canadian Standards.
• Experience in Simulation or software development would be advantageous.
• Experience on Microsoft Office and VBE tools would be advantageous.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.

• Responsible for prepare electrical design (Quotation) meeting factory limitation, guideline, and checklist as per IEEE / Canada standards as per project schedule.
• Responsible for Preparation of Prelim Customer documents, Tender documents, Bill of materials etc. as per project schedule.
• Coordinating design activities within a worldwide factories network.
• Participation in internal design concept reviews.
• Demonstrated team building skills and networking skills, would be a preference.
• Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world.
