Job summary

ASM Technologies is seeking a Design Engineer to design and develop vehicle structures, frames, and chassis systems for off-road, agricultural, and industrial EV applications in Bangalore. The role includes hydraulic system integration, kinematic mechanism development, and drivetrain packaging.

Candidate will create 3D models and 2D drawings in SolidWorks, perform FEA-based verification, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including sourcing, manufacturing, quality, and service.

Qualifications

• 5-9 years of relevant design experience.
• Experience designing vehicle structures, frames and chassis for EVs.
• Knowledge of Creo; experience with packaging and drivetrain components.

Job description

Design Engineer : Creo , Chassis, Packaging.

Experience : 5-9 Years

Location : Bangalore

Designand developvehiclestructures, frames, and chassissystems for electricvehiclesused in off-road, agriculture, and industrial applications.

• Integrate hydraulic systems including cylinder layouts, valve placement, and load balancing for functional performance.
• Develop and optimize kinematic mechanisms for lifting, steering / articulation, and movement systems.
• Support gearboxdesign/ selection, mechanical transmission integration, and drive system packaging.
• Perform engineering calculations, tolerance stack-up analysis, anddesignverification using FEA (Structural, Modal, Fatigue).
• Strong experience in DFM/DFA/DFS principles and cost-effectiven designfor manufacturing.
• Create verification and validation plan for the systems / sub-systems / components owned.
• Generate 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs usingSolidWorks.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sourcing, manufacturing, quality, service, marketing teams.
• Participate in prototype building, field testing, and iterativedesignvalidation.
• Ensure designs are aligned with industry standards, safety regulations, and reliability expectations.

Exposure to EV drivetrain components and packaging challenges.

• Problem-solving mindset, creativity, generate patentable ideas, and ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
