Job summary

SV Management Consultants is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to manage CAD data throughout the product life cycle, using Creo and Windchill, and to ensure timely updates based on feasibility and inputs. You will maintain drawing and BOM revision control between PLM and SAP, and drive Enquiry and ECM activities to meet PLM timelines.

The role requires 2–3 years of Auto Component Design experience, strong Creo skills, PLM Windchill familiarity, and solid MS Office knowledge.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/Automobile/Electrical Engineering.
• 2–3 years of Auto Component Design and Development experience.
• Proficient in CREO and PLM Windchill; strong MS Excel knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage CAD data throughout the product life cycle using PLM (Windchill) and ensure timely updates based on product feasibility and application inputs.
• Manage and maintain drawing and BOM revision control between PLM and SAP.
• Ensure timely completion of Enquiry and ECM activities as per PLM workflow and defined timelines.
• Develop accurate and error-free 3D models, 2D drawings and worst-case simulations using Creo.
• Create concept drawings and support product design and development activities.
• Perform assembly design and GD&T calculations.
• Conduct process feasibility reviews and incorporate necessary design updates.
• Coordinate effectively with customers, internal teams and suppliers for design and development requirements.
• Maintain proper design documentation and ensure adherence to defined engineering standards and processes.

• Knowledge of 3D/2D modelling, GD&T, assembly design and process feasibility.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
