Job summary

Technosoft Engineering is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to design and draw electrical control panels for automation projects in India. The role requires 6–10 years of experience, a B.Tech in E&T C, and strong knowledge of NFPA 79 and UL 508A, PLC programming (Siemens/Rockwell), HMI, and EPLAN/AutoCAD Electrical.

You will create schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs, read machine layouts, and ensure timely, quality documentation and adherence to national electrical codes across

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in electrical control panel design and automation.
• Proficient in reading electrical, pneumatic, and machine layouts.
• Knowledge of NFPA 79, UL 508A standards and national electrical codes.
• Experience with EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical for schematic and wiring diagrams.
• Proficient in BOM preparation and component selection.

Responsibilities

• Generate electrical control panel drawings and automation knowledge.
• Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts using EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical.
• Select and interface PLC and HMI systems per application.
• Analyze equipment specs to define design parameters.
• Prepare accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and documentation.
• Ensure timely project execution with quality adherence.

Qualifications

• Experience Required: 6 to 10 Years
• Qualification: B.Tech Electrical / Electronics & Telecommunication (E&TC)

Role & Responsibilities

• Generate electrical control panel drawings and should have good knowledge of automation and controls.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of National Electrical Standards CE, IEC, NFPA 79 and UL 508A.
• Should have a knowledge of PLC Programming of Siemens, Rockwell and HMI.
• Should have a knowledge of field bus communication technologies like Ethernet,
• RS-485, RS 232, Modbus, PROFIBUS etc.
• Should be able to read & understand machine layout, electrical, pneumatic diagrams.
• Experience in using Eplan/AutoCAD Electrical design software is necessary.
• Experience in creating Symbol, component, model and Wire Harness is necessary.
• Technical Knowledge: Electric control panel design, PLC / MCC Panels.
• Excellent English Communication and Technical English.(Written and Oral).
• Excellent in Organization, prioritization and time management skills.
• Design and develop electrical control panel drawings based on project requirements.
• Create detailed enclosure layouts for components such as contactors, relays, power supplies, PLCs, HMIs, etc.
• Generate electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and physical layout drawings using E-Plan or AutoCAD Electrical.
• Proficiency in creating Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
• Select and interface PLC and HMI systems as per application requirements.
• Analyze equipment specifications and define design parameters to meet functional and performance needs.
• Revise electrical schematics based on engineering updates and customer feedback.
• Perform electrical component selection and prepare accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Ensure timely execution of assigned projects with adherence to quality and documentation standards.
• Apply knowledge of relevant national electrical codes (e.g., NFPA 79, UL 508A) in design and documentation.
