Job summary

Speed Global in Pune, India is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to create and maintain product drawings and 3D models using Creo. You will ensure adherence to GD&T and engineering standards while collaborating with multiple functions.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, problem solving, and effective communication to deliver reliable designs for castings, sheet metal, and assemblies within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 3–4 years of design and drafting experience using Creo.
• Experience in Creo 2D & 3D modeling and drawing creation with GD&T.
• Knowledge of Windchill/PLM systems and ability to work within PLM processes.

Responsibilities

• Creates and maintains product specifications drawings utilizing Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Requires Creo skills for 3D modeling and drawing creation.
• Ensures compliance with ISO/ASME/SAE standards in design work.
• Engages with cross-functional teams and participates in Drawing Quality Reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

• Creates and maintains product specifications drawings utilizing Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing.
• Must have Creo skill for 3D Modelling and Drawing creation.
• CAD data management tools such Windchill /PLM experience is plus point.
• Should have good knowledge of Castings, Sheet metal and GD&T.
• Ensures application of company, industry, national, and international standards like ISO, ASME, SAE...
• Engages with required functional areas as needed.
• Participates in Drawing Quality Reviews.

Experience and Skills Required:

• B.E. in Mechanical with 3 to 4 years of experience in Design and Drafting using Creo
• 3 to 4 years hands-on experience in tools such as Creo (2D & 3D), Knowledge of PLM and able to work in PLM (Windchill).
• Engine or sub-systems-related experience preferably in the on-the-highway, off-highway, or Powertrain industry.
• Communicates effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
• Manages complexity - Making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory
• information to effectively solve problems.
