Job summary

Johnson Controls, a global leader in building systems, is seeking a field engineer to perform installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting on site. You will support design activities, participate in project delivery, and ensure safety and quality.

Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, willingness to travel, and strong communication are expected. This role involves coordinating with internal teams and vendors to deliver reliable, high-performance systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Exposure to field execution, system implementation, or maintenance activities.
  • Basic understanding of system integration and configuration.

Responsibilities

  • Perform field execution activities including installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of systems under supervision.
  • Support intermediate-level design activities, including reviewing system layouts, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Participate in project delivery by assisting in system integration, configuration, and optimization activities.
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols during execution.
  • Provide technical support in resolving onsite issues and ensuring smooth system functionality.
  • Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance activities as part of O&M support.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders for effective project execution.
  • Maintain proper documentation of site activities, reports, and system changes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Basic technical knowledge of systems installation and commissioning

  • Understanding of system integration and field operations

  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to work in field environments and handle site challenges

  • Good communication and coordination skills

  • Willingness to travel for site assignments

Preferred Skills
  • Experience in HVAC / BMS / Fire / Security systems (if applicable)

  • Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations

  • Exposure to O&M (Operations & Maintenance) activities
