Job summary

Lauritz Knudsen Electrical & Automation in Ahmednagar seeks a research-oriented engineer to advance medium voltage RD. The role focuses on material innovation, improving performance and reliability of MV equipment.

You will conduct IEC-type tests with external labs, support in-house verification, and coordinate VV activities with cross-functional teams to ensure timely releases. Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills are essential for collaborating with suppliers

Qualifications

• Must have strong RD capabilities for MV products.
• Experience in design assurance and verification/validation for MV products.
• Proficiency in coordinating with test labs and performing Type Testing per IEC.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to research and development for MV equipment performance and longevity via material innovation.
• Provide technical expertise in material selection, performance, and reliability.
• Conduct Type tests as per IEC for MV GIS products at third-party labs (CPRI, ERDA, CESI) and manage documentation.
• Perform in-house verification and validation for MV equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete VV activities on schedule.
• Follow VV program to release new packages/products to production on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Contributing to research and development for enhancing medium voltage equipment performance and longevity through material innovation.
• Providing technical expertise in material selection, performance, and reliability.
• Conduct Type tests as per IEC for MV GIS products at third-party labs like CPRI, ERDA, and CESI. Indepth knowledge of IEC std.
• Conducting in-house verification validation for medium voltage equipment.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to successful completion of VV activities.
• Follow the VV program to ensure new package/product release to production within the timeline.

Functional Competencies

• Research and Development: Experience in contributing to RD projects. Design Assurance, Verification Validation for medium voltage products, Product Validation.
• Type Testing: Proficiency in conducting type testing of MV products, Certification, and coordination with test labs external parties for smooth execution of tests.
• Technical documentation: Able to create maintain technical documents, validation reports, and verification plans.
• Hands-on experience: Able to design develop test arrangements, assemble type test panels, and conduct internal verification validation trials.
• Inhouse test facility management: able to create maintain the test arrangements for MV products, subassemblies components.
