Job summary

ReNew is hiring a Deputy General Manager – Project Development (Solar/Wind) in Gurugram. The role requires 12-15 years of experience in solar and wind project development and strong leadership to drive end-to-end project delivery.

You will oversee connectivity planning, land acquisition, regulatory approvals, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure timely, within-budget project execution and successful financing support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; MBA preferred.
• 12-15 years of Solar/Wind Project Development and Project Management experience.
• Strong land acquisition, connectivity planning, feasibility, financial evaluation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop Solar/Wind project opportunities, including connectivity and land acquisition assessment.
• Evaluate CTU/STU connectivity options and coordinate project development activities across targeted states.
• Conduct feasibility studies, financial analysis, due diligence, and business case preparation for new projects.
• Coordinate with Land, Legal, Engineering, SCM, Finance, and Project Execution teams for seamless project development.
• Manage statutory approvals, land-related documentation, lease/sale agreements, and stakeholder engagement.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and monitor progress from development through commissioning.
• Lead periodic reviews with cross-functional teams and drive timely resolution of project risks and challenges.
• Support lender due diligence, project financing activities, and management approvals.
• Prepare project CAPEX estimates, monitor budgets, and drive cost optimization initiatives.
• Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines, budget, quality, and compliance requirements.
