Job summary

Kirloskar Ebara Pumps seeks a technically skilled engineer to study customer specifications, prepare BOMs in SAP, and support cross-functional teams on pump projects.

The role covers API 610/682 standards, 2D AutoCAD and 3D CREO drawings, and post-order documentation, with emphasis on continual improvements and timely project execution.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of API 610, API 682 standards.
• Ability to review vendor documents like BOMs, seals, valves, orifices.
• Proficient in reading manufacturing and assembly drawings.
• Hands-on experience with 3D CAD software (CREO preferred).

Responsibilities

• Study customer specifications and identify special requirements for pump projects.
• Handle post-order documentation for customer approvals (drawings, BOMs).
• Review vendor documents for bought-out components like seals and valves.
• Prepare BOMs in SAP and ensure alignment with project needs.
• Create and update operation/maintenance manuals for pumps.

Job description

Role & responsibilities:

• Studying the specifications received from customer for the specified project and identify special requirements with respect to Pump Product Technical Binder.
• Handling post order documentation required for customer approvals like Cross Section drawing, Bare pumps Outline drawings etc.
• Should have knowledge of Various API standards like API 610, API 682 etc.
• Review documents received from vendors for Bought Out Components like Mechanical seals, Valves, Orifice etc
• Shall have good knowledge of Manufacturing and Assembly Drawings
• Shall have knowledge and hands-on experience of drawings preparations in AutoCAD 2D and CREO 3D (CREO is preferred one, however experience with other 3D software can also be considered)
• Should have knowledge SAP and should be able to prepare Bill of Materials
• To keep himself / herself updated on latest technological specifications of Bought out components
• Involve in providing new ideas/Kaizens for pump product features or efficiency enhancement / process improvements
• Prepare Operation and Maintenance Manuals for special project pumps Regularly monitor On-Time Performance of self / department / company objectives.

Key Highlights:

• Knowledge of Bare Shaft Pump Engineering of API 610 centrifugal pumps
• Handling post order documentation for getting Customer approval - Bare Shaft Pump / Spares Bill of Materials Creation of in SAP
• Support to Manufacturing, Purchase, Project Management teams for successful project execution
• Support to Application Engineering at Pre-order or to CSS team at Post order stage.
