Job summary

G R Infraprojects in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh, is seeking a Contract Administrator to oversee the full lifecycle of main contracts, subcontracts and work orders on our tunneling and civil projects. You will review contracts, specs, BOQ and drawings, coordinate with project teams, and ensure compliance with milestones and notices.

You will also manage claims, variations, EOT, and commercial risk while maintaining records.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete lifecycle of the main contract, subcontract, and work orders.
  • Review contract conditions, specifications, BOQ, drawings, and contractual obligations.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms, milestones, deliverables, and notice requirements.
  • Maintain proper records of contractual correspondence, instructions, approvals, and commitments.
  • Coordinate with Project, Planning, Engineering, Billing, Procurement, and Finance teams on contractual matters.
  • Identify and evaluate contractual claims, variations, additional works, and EOT requirements.
  • Prepare and submit claims related to delays, changes in scope, unforeseen conditions, additional quantities, disruption, and other contractual events.
  • Assess entitlement and maintain supporting documentation for claims.
  • Monitor approval and settlement of claims and variations with the Client/Consultant.
  • Support preparation of detailed EOT and prolongation cost claims.
  • Handle contractual issues associated with NATM / conventional tunnelling, hydro tunnels, road tunnels, railway tunnels, shafts, caverns, and underground structures.
  • Manage contractual implications arising from unforeseen geological conditions, rock classes, groundwater, geological variations, tunnel supports, excavation methodology, and additional support requirements.
  • Review contractual impact of changes in excavation/support methodology, instrumentation, grouting, dewatering, ventilation, mucking, and other tunnel-related activities.
  • Coordinate with technical and construction teams to establish contractual entitlement based on site conditions and records.
  • Monitor project costs, contractual commitments, variations, and commercial exposure.
  • Review subcontractor bills, measurements, rate analysis, and contractual deductions.
  • Ensure timely certification and recovery of payments from the Client.
  • Monitor subcontractor claims, variations, and commercial settlements.
  • Support project management in maintaining profitability and minimizing contractual risks.
  • Draft and review contractual letters, notices, responses, and submissions to the Client/Consultant.
  • Ensure timely submission of contractual notices within specified time limits.
  • Maintain a proper correspondence and notice register.
  • Review communications from the Client/Consultant and advise the Project Head on contractual implications.
  • Coordinate with Planning team for delay analysis and preparation of EOT claims.
  • Identify delays attributable to Client, Consultant, statutory authorities, design changes, site conditions, approvals, or other external factors.
  • Maintain contemporaneous records supporting delay and disruption claims.
  • Review project schedules and assess contractual impact of delays.
  • Prepare/review subcontract agreements, work orders, amendments, and commercial terms.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance against contractual requirements.
  • Handle subcontractor claims, variations, disputes, and payment-related issues.
  • Ensure back-to-back contractual provisions are appropriately incorporated wherever applicable.
  • Identify contractual and commercial risks and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Maintain a Contract Risk Register.
  • Support management in negotiation and settlement of contractual disputes.
  • Coordinate with legal/management teams for arbitration, adjudication, or other dispute-resolution proceedings when required.
