Job summary

Adani Group's solar division is hiring a Shift Engineer - PECVD to oversee PECVD equipment during shifts, ensure production efficiency, troubleshoot issues, and maintain high standards of equipment performance and availability.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of hands-on PECVD experience in solar manufacturing, with BE/BTech preferred, and a strong focus on process optimization, CAPA, safety, documentation, and team leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• B.Tech/ Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical.
• BE/BTech qualification preferred.
• 2–5 years of hands-on PECVD experience in solar manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain PECVD systems to ensure optimal performance and deposition reliability.
• Address and resolve PECVD equipment breakdowns quickly, analyze root causes.
• Optimize PECVD parameters for uniform, high-quality thin films and improved cell efficiency.
• Implement CAPA plans for major breakdowns and maintain equipment reliability.
• Conduct inspections of film thickness and uniformity, document results and daily checks.
• Ensure safety compliance and maintain a safe work environment during PECVD operations.
• Maintain process parameters, maintenance records, and production outputs.
• Lead and train technicians, fostering safety and continuous improvement.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization in the diffusion area.

Job Purpose

The Job purpose for the role of Shift Engineer - PECVD in cell maintenance is overseeing the operation and maintenance of PECVD equipment during shifts, ensuring production efficiency, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining high standards of equipment performance and Equipment Availability.

Key Responsibilities of Role

• PECVD Machine Management And Operation Operate and maintain PECVD systems to ensure optimal performance and reliable deposition processes.
• Breakdown Response and Troubleshooting Address and resolve PECVD equipment breakdowns swiftly, analyze issues to prevent future failures.
• Process Optimization Optimize PECVD parameters (gas flow rates, temperature, pressure) to achieve uniform and high-quality thin films, improving solar cell efficiency.
• Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA) Implement CAPA plans for major breakdowns, ensuring timely resolution and preventive measures to enhance equipment reliability.
• Quality Control Conduct inspections to verify thin film thickness, uniformity, and adherence, maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.
• Safety And Compliance Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements during PECVD operations to maintain a safe work environment.
• Documentation And Reporting Maintain accurate records of process parameters, equipment maintenance, and production outputs and daily check sheet.
• Team Leadership And Training Lead and support a team of technicians or operators, providing guidance, training, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements within the diffusion area.
