Job summary

Fictiv is recruiting a Deputy General Manager (Deputy GM) - India Operations to partner with the General Manager in Bengaluru. You will drive performance, culture, and compliance, and lead day-to-day operations across the India hub.

Reporting to the GM-India, you will oversee budgeting, KPI delivery, and cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with global standards and local regulations.

Qualifications

  • 12-18 years of progressive leadership experience.
  • At least 3-5 years in senior operations within a global or multinational organisation.
  • Experience managing large cross-functional teams across multiple locations in India.
  • Strong financial acumen with budgeting, P&L exposure, and cost control.
  • Proven track record in driving operational excellence and KPI performance.

Responsibilities

  • Support the GM in setting tone, culture, and ethical standards across the India hub.
  • Act as a visible leader for the India team and champion engagement, transparency, and accountability.
  • Provide strategic direction and operational communication to achieve business results and plans.
  • Serve as Acting GM in the absence of the General Manager, ensuring continuity.
  • Lead cross-functional coordination and drive standardised processes aligned with Driving One.

Impact In This Role

The Deputy General Manager (Deputy GM) - India Operations is a senior leadership role designed to support the General Manager in driving the overall performance, culture, and compliance of Fictiv's India hub. The Deputy GM acts as the GM's primary operational partner, ensuring the day-to-day execution of business objectives across Bengaluru and serving as the acting senior leader in the GM's absence. This role demands an individual who is equally adept at operational execution and people leadership - someone who can drive accountability across a cross-functional team, champion Fictiv's values and standards, and proactively identify and resolve issues before they escalated. The Deputy GM will work closely with functional managers across all disciplines to ensure the India hub operates as a cohesive, high-performing, and compliant entity.

You will report to the General Manager-India.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support the GM in setting and sustaining the tone, culture, and ethical standards across the India hub, ensuring Fictiv's core values are upheld at every level.
  • Act as a visible and accessible leader for the India team - championing engagement, transparency, and accountability.
  • Assist in providing strategic direction and operational communication to achieve business results and operating plan goals
  • Serve as Acting GM in the absence of the General Manager, ensuring leadership continuity and decision-making authority.
  • Actively build and leverage internal and external networks to support Fictiv's business objectives and relationships.
Financial Management
  • Monitor and manage regional expenses in alignment with approved budgets, flagging variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Support the GM in presenting budget proposals and financial performance reviews to global leadership.
Operations Management

Support the GM in organising hub activities to drive performance across key business metrics, including:

  • Employee retention and engagement
  • Revenue growth and on-time, in-full (OTIF) order delivery
  • Tracking of Gross Profit- actual
  • Customer satisfaction
  • HT opportunities conversion
  • Drive cross-functional coordination to ensure the India hub operates in alignment with the 'Driving One' philosophy - standardised processes, procedures, and work instructions consistent with other Fictiv regions, while accommodating necessary localisation.
  • Proactively identify operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies, proposing and implementing sustainable process improvements.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to pave the way for automation and consistent customer outcomes.
  • Lead and support operational reviews, performance cadences, and business planning cycles.
Desired Traits
  • 12-18 years of progressive leadership experience, with at least 3-5 years in a senior operations within a global or multinational organisation.
  • Proven experience managing large, cross-functional teams across multiple locations in India.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a matrixed organisation, influencing without direct authority.
  • Strong financial acumen - experience managing budgets, P&L exposure, and cost control.
  • Excellent track record of driving operational excellence, process standardisation, and KPI performance.
  • Experience in technology-enabled manufacturing, supply chain, programme management, or related industries preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethics, compliance, and people-first leadership.
  • Exposure to or experience in digital manufacturing in a complex, fast-growing organisation.
  • Familiarity with Indian labour laws, statutory compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience collaborating with global headquarters in the US or equivalent international regions.
