You will supervise technicians and contractors, review drawings, and document power consumption and outages.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain 132 kV / 33 kV substations, feeders, transformers, and HT/LT distribution networks.
• Monitor load flow, voltage levels, power consumption, and system losses.
• Analyze and attend power outages, electrical breakdowns, and faults to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Identify opportunities for improving system reliability and reducing electrical losses.
• Support new electrical connections, network extensions, modifications, and system upgrades.
• Carry out troubleshooting and fault finding in HT/LT electrical systems.

The role involves ensuring safe, reliable, and uninterrupted power supply, attending electrical faults and breakdowns, coordinating maintenance activities, and supporting system improvement and project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical & Operational

• Operate and maintain 132 kV / 33 kV substations, feeders, transformers, and HT/LT distribution networks.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, statutory requirements, SOPs, and applicable regulations.
• Conduct safety inspections, toolbox talks, and permit-to-work activities.
• Ensure safe working practices during electrical maintenance and emergency activities.
• Investigate electrical incidents/accidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Project & Execution Support

• Assist in the estimation, execution, testing, and commissioning of electrical works.
• Supervise contractors and vendors to ensure quality, safety, and timely completion.
• Review electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, material specifications, and site execution.
• Coordinate with internal departments for electrical project and maintenance requirements.

Team & Documentation

• Supervise technicians, electricians, and contract manpower.
• Maintain electrical operation logs, maintenance records, inspection reports, and statutory documents.
• Prepare reports related to power consumption, outages, losses, breakdowns, and system improvements.
• Coordinate with other departments, vendors, contractors, regulatory authorities, and consumers as required.
