EMRIOM SOLUTIONS is seeking a Deputy City Head to drive city-level academic and operational execution in Bengaluru. You will coordinate teachers, academic teams, operations, sales, parents and management to improve learning outcomes and service quality.

The role demands strong leadership in curriculum planning, teacher development, LMS adoption, and cross-functional alignment across city teams. You will report to the City Head and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced EdTech environment.

Job description

The Deputy City Head will play a key role in ensuring smooth city-level academic and operational execution. The position requires strong coordination between teachers, academic teams, operations, sales, parents, and management, with a focus on improving learning outcomes and service quality.

Key Responsibilities

1. Curriculum Planning & Academic Operations

• Support the development and implementation of city-level curriculum plans.
• Ensure curriculum alignment with students' learning requirements, academic levels, and learning objectives.
• Prepare academic calendars, lesson plans, learning schedules, and assessment frameworks.
• Work with teachers to ensure effective curriculum implementation.
• Monitor student learning progress and recommend academic interventions wherever required.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve teaching methodologies and learning outcomes.

2. Teacher Training & Development

• Plan and conduct teacher training and induction programs.
• Develop training modules related to teaching methodology, classroom management, student engagement, and lesson planning.
• Conduct regular teacher orientation and refresher training sessions.
• Monitor teacher performance through feedback, observations, student progress, and parent feedback.
• Identify training requirements and create individual/team development plans.
• Build a strong and professionally trained tutor/teacher network in Bangalore.

3. LMS Management & Implementation

• Manage and ensure effective utilization of the Learning Management System (LMS).
• Coordinate LMS onboarding and training for teachers and relevant team members.
• Ensure timely uploading and updating of learning materials, assignments, assessments, and student progress.
• Monitor LMS usage and adoption across teachers and students.
• Coordinate with the technology/product team for LMS-related issues and improvements.
• Generate and analyse LMS reports to track academic engagement and performance.

4. Teacher & Parent Coordination

• Act as a key point of coordination between teachers, parents, students, and internal teams.
• Address teacher-related operational and academic concerns.
• Support resolution of parent/student escalations.
• Ensure timely communication and follow-up on academic and service-related matters.
• Maintain strong relationships with teachers and key stakeholders.

5. City Operations & Coordination

• Support the City Head in managing day-to-day Bangalore operations.
• Coordinate with Sales, HR, Recruitment, Academic, Operations, and Customer Success teams.
• Ensure smooth allocation and onboarding of teachers based on student requirements.
• Track ongoing classes, teacher availability, student requirements, and operational issues.
• Ensure timely execution of city-level initiatives and management directives.

6. Performance Monitoring & MIS

• Track key academic and operational KPIs.
• Monitor teacher performance, student retention, class continuity, parent feedback, and academic progress.
• Prepare regular MIS reports and performance updates for the City Head and management.
• Analyse data and identify areas requiring improvement.
• Support the City Head in implementing corrective and improvement measures.
• Strong understanding of curriculum planning and academic operations
