Job summary

TAAL Tech India Pvt. Ltd. in Bangalore, India seeks a Department/Discipline Head- Electrical to lead electrical engineering teams across EPC/EPCM projects. The role requires 15+ years of experience and a strong track record in client-facing discussions, design reviews, and delivering electrical design deliverables.

The candidate will oversee design basis, load lists, SLDs, HV/LV distribution, and adherence to IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA standards, with proficiency in ETAP/SKM and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or equivalent.
• 15+ years of experience in electrical engineering leadership.
• Client-facing experience, design reviews and technical discussions.

Responsibilities

• Lead Electrical Engineering teams of 5-20 engineers and designers.
• Act as Electrical Discipline Lead for large EPC/EPCM projects.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables, design calculations, and specs.
• Support FAT/SAT, commissioning and procurement processes.
• Manage project estimation, scheduling, manpower planning and budget control.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Experience leading Electrical Engineering teams of 5-20 engineers and designers.


• Capability to act as Electrical Discipline Lead for large EPC / EPCM projects.


• Client-facing experience, including technical discussions and design reviews.


• Electrical Design Basis, design calculations, and engineering deliverables.


• Load Lists, SLDs, HV/LV power distribution system design.


• Cable sizing/routing, lighting, earthing & grounding design.


• Electrical specifications, datasheets, and technical bid evaluations.


• Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA, and relevant industry standards.


• Proficiency in ETAP/SKM, AutoCAD, and Electrical Engineering design tools.


• Experience in reviewing and approving engineering deliverables.


• Experience in project estimation, scheduling, manpower planning, and budget control.


• Exposure to GCC, European, or international projects preferred.


• Experience in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and commissioning support.


• Strong understanding of procurement lifecycle and vendor package management.
