  • Drive consistent EMCC (ExxonMobil Chemical Company) forecast processes regionally and across the designated business unit.
  • Critically assess data and understand implications — recognize deviations from normal and connect interfaces to correct (high priority); review the statistical forecast and identify and eliminate outliers; oversee and coordinate forecast updates / changes.
  • Steer alignment between all parties — Demand Planner leads the demand planning meetings and discussions, Supply Planner validates the final unconstrained forecast; coordinate forecast updates / changes.
  • Generate Statistical (STAT) forecast.
  • Analyze and update shipment history data to improve forecast.
  • Create interactive statistical forecast, as necessary; maintain Quadrant Analysis / playbook.
  • Define Quadrant Analysis parameters as needed.
  • Optimize demand segmentation with sales & marketing as needed (Sales Adjusted Forecast, SAF).
  • Guide process and ensure tools are used (i.e., support Volume Management Specialists, Sales Assistants, and Sales Representatives).
  • Ensure focus on key areas / sales trends and minimize SAF inputs that drive value.
  • Steward that the SAF delivers value and take action if not improving value of Demand Planning Meeting.
  • Lead monthly meetings and drive alignment between Sales, S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning), and Product Management as needed.
  • Review backward and forward-looking outliers; provide recommendations.
  • Ensure sales volume is in line with product signals & Global Business Unit outlook (attend S&OP meetings to stay engaged) and understand price actions and impact.
  • Make and/or oversee high level adjustments and ensure Unconstrained Forecast (UCF) is available and validated by Supply Planning.

3. Forecast modelling, stewardship, and improvement activities

  • Test and optimize tool settings to achieve better forecasts.
  • Implement interactive forecast processes, as necessary.
  • Monitor Order in Flow (OIF) to improve forecast, if needed (Volume Management System monitors regularly).
  • Review forecast accuracy, performance and sales input; recommend changes and identify tool and analytical improvements.
About You

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong background in engineering, supply chain, statistics and/or analytics.

Experience supporting supply chain activities for large-scale operations preferred (particularly in Oil & Gas).

3 years or more of experience post-secondary school graduation.

Experience supporting supply chain activities for large-scale operations and in the Oil & Gas industry.

Experienced in conducting analyses and providing data-driven recommendations for S&OP processes.

Proficiency with extracting information from ERP systems (such as SAP or Oracle) and using MS Excel to generate data insights.

Strong performer with ability to prioritize work strategically and independently while also functioning well within a global, virtual team.

Proven self-starter with strong collaboration and influence management skills; able to work effectively with all levels of the organization.

Strong communication skills (written and verbal).

Perseverant and resilient in the pursuit of objectives; willing to take on new challenges and improve mindset; able to anticipate future opportunities and evaluate them objectively.

Works well with others to deliver results and keeps key stakeholders informed to avoid unnecessary organizational churn. Proficient in SAP systems and MS Excel knowledge is critical.
