Job summary

Deloitte Shared Services India staff SAP SD experts to lead Resource-Related Billing (RRB) activities within implementations, rollouts, and AMS support. You will analyze requirements, design scalable RRB solutions, and configure SD processes with strong focus on DIP profiles and DP90/DP91 billing.

Collaborating with PS/CO/FI and business teams, you will ensure accurate revenue recognition, billing accuracy, and timely issue resolution across project-based engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, IT, or commerce.
• SAP SD certification preferred.
• S/4HANA Sales certification is an added advantage.
• Experience with SAP PS/CO processes desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP SD Resource-Related Billing (RRB) activities across implementation, rollout, enhancement, and support engagements.
• Analyze business requirements and design scalable Resource-Related Billing solutions aligned with project-based and service-based business models.
• Configure and support SAP SD processes with a strong focus on RRB, billing generation, pricing, account determination, and revenue recognition processes.
• Design and maintain DIP profiles, source selection criteria, material determination rules, characteristics, and billing relevance settings.
• Support resource-related billing scenarios involving WBS elements, projects, service orders, internal orders, and other cost objects.
• Configure and manage DP90, DP91, and related billing processes for project and service-based billing requirements.
• Support billing of actual costs including labor, materials, travel expenses, third-party services, and other project-related expenditures.
• Collaborate with PS, CO/FICO, and business teams to ensure seamless end-to-end billing and revenue management processes.
• Troubleshoot issues related to unbilled costs, rejected costs, incorrect billing values, missing resources, DIP profile configuration, and DP90 processing.
• Prepare functional specifications and work closely with technical teams for reports, interfaces, enhancements, workflows, and custom developments.
• Participate in requirement gathering, Fit-Gap analysis, testing, deployment, cutover, go-live, and hypercare support activities.
• Perform SIT, UAT, defect resolution, and business validation activities.
• Support production incidents and drive continuous process improvements across project billing and revenue management processes.

Key Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on SAP SD consulting experience with strong expertise in Resource-Related Billing (RRB).
• Proven experience in configuring and supporting SAP Resource-Related Billing using Dynamic Item Processor (DIP) profiles.
• Strong working knowledge of DP90, DP91, and associated project and service billing processes.
• Good understanding of end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes, customer billing, pricing, invoicing, and revenue posting.
• Experience supporting billing scenarios involving labor costs, material costs, travel expenses, service costs, and project-related expenditures.
• Strong expertise in sales orders, contracts, billing requests, billing documents, pricing procedures, account determination, and revenue recognition processes.
• Hands-on experience configuring DIP profiles, source determination, material determination, characteristics mapping, and billing relevance controls.
• Strong understanding of SAP SD integration with Project Systems (PS), Controlling (CO), and Finance (FI/CO).
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex billing issues related to unbilled resources, rejected costs, pricing discrepancies, and billing document generation.
• Experience in implementation, enhancement, rollout, AMS, and support projects.
• Exposure to SAP S/4HANA Sales and Resource-Related Billing processes is preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.
• Experience working in project-based, engineering, consulting, professional services, or service-oriented industries is highly desirable.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• SAP SD certification is preferred.
• SAP S/4HANA Sales certification will be an added advantage.
• Experience or certification in SAP Project Systems (PS), SAP FICO, or project accounting processes is desirable.
• Exposure to SAP Activate methodology, Agile delivery models, and end-to-end SAP implementation projects is preferred.
