What you’ll achieve

As a Consultant, IT Architect, you will be defining and driving the IT architecture of business-critical applications by working closely with software engineering teams, product teams and our leadership team. You will work with software engineering and IT Architecture teams across the globe to provide the direction on architecture, technology and best software development practices to deliver best in class technology solutions to Dell’s business and customers.

You will:

• Head a team of solutions architects and other relevant SME’s in the design of the largest, most complex and strategic Dell back office software solutions
• Align applications architecture to IT Leadership strategies and goals
• Consult with business and company executives to formulate org-wide business and information technology product strategies
• Drive research, discovery, planning, and implementation efforts to improve business processes
• Contribute to the design and architecture of new or re-engineered microservices components as per business needs.
• Work closely with senior engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development.

Essential Requirements

12+ years of Experience in Software Engineering with relevant 4+ years of experience in software architect role for the modern Java stack with backend on sprint boot microservices and Angular UI.

• Solid software development background including knowledge of design patterns, architecture patterns, architecture diagrams, data structures and TDD.
• Should have experience in Cloud based technologies (eg PCF), distributed programming and Object-Oriented Programming constructs.
• Experience in working with Agile at Scale and extreme programming.
• Strong in understanding of microservices architecture, infrastructure and scalability.

Desirable Requirements

• Experience in Project and Product management
• Knowledge of AI/ML solutions and Data science
