IT Principal Software Engineer- Infrastructure Security Automation – Vulnerability and Risk Management

What you’ll achieve

In this position, as an IT Principal Software Engineer, you’ll be responsible for developing tools and automation used internally to maintain and enhance Dell’s information security posture. You will work with global security and software development teams on projects to enhance Dell’s infrastructure and vulnerability remediation processes.

Responsibilities:

• Implement vulnerability remediation automation using modern technologies like Python, Java and several infrastructure tools
• Work with IT and Cybersecurity partners to establish communication plans and develop remediation solutions
• Develop effective strategies to orchestrate vulnerability remediation
• Provide critical input into the selection, configuration, and implementation of new and existing solutions

Requirements

Essential Requirements

• Strong background in software development automation using Java and/or C#, .Net core
• Strong background and practical knowledge in automation and scripting in OS script languages, such as Linux shell, Python, Ruby, Perl, Windows Power Shell
• Solid app development and testing, for Windows and Linux environments

Desirable Requirements

• Knowledge of Information security topics such as Cybersecurity, Pen testing and vulnerability scan, Application security, Web security, CVSS Scoring, CVE classification, OWASP, NIST 800-53
• CISSP certification or equivalent
• 8+ years of validated experience
• Bachelor’s degree in computing engineering or computer science
