Job summary

Acuity Analytics is seeking a finance professional to work with an investment bank on end-to-end project management for rating and financial modelling.

The role requires knowledge of rating methodologies (S&P, Moody's, Fitch), capital markets, and sector analysis including MSME, Infrastructure, Banking. You will prepare memos and models and interact with clients to finalize projects.

Qualifications

• MBA/CFA/CA or Finance Post Graduation required.
• 4-6 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in Investment Banking industry.
• Sovereign ratings experience preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Rating Advisory team in preparing rating presentations and models for rating agencies.
• Understand rating methodologies by S&P, Moody's and Fitch for rating assignments.
• Perform capital markets analysis and corporate finance assessments.
• Analyse sectors including MSME, Infrastructure, Transportation, TMT, Real Estate, Oil & Gas, Banking.
• Prepare Information Memorandum, Credit Memo, macro-economic analyses, peer comparisons.
• Develop project finance models, cash flow forecasts and ratio analyses.

Job description

Job Purpose

The candidate will work dedicatedly with an investment bank and will be responsible for end-to-end management of the projects. The candidate should have knowledge of and experience of working in Investment Banking industry and would be working on Financial models, Rating models, Project finance models, Credit Overviews, Capital Structure, Debt Profiles and Credit Memos.

The candidate will get an opportunity to work directly with the client and would be expected to finalize projects. He should have experience in sovereign ratings.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Rating Advisory team of a global investment bank in preparing rating presentations and rating models for submission to global ratings agencies
• Strong understanding of S&P, Moodys and Fitch rating methodologies and expertise in different financial adjustments as well as qualitative aspects, required for assigning ratings to companies and bond issuances
• Strong understanding of capital markets, financial instruments and corporate finance principles
• Understanding of different sectors including MSME, Infrastructure, Transportation, TMT, Consumer, Industrials, Real Estate, Oil & Gas, and Banking
• Capital structure analysis - Identifying different levels of debt tranches, corporate and funding structure, mapping guarantees and collateral
• Knowledge and hands on experience in preparing Information Memorandum, Credit Memo, macro-economic analysis, industry and company overviews/ analysis, peer comparison and presentations is a pre-requisite
• Should also have expertise in preparation of project finance models, cash flow models, forecast analysis and ratio analysis

Key Competencies

• MBA/ CFA/ CA or Post Graduation in Finance or equivalent qualification
• 4-6 years of relevant work experience
• Highly developed written and oral communication skills including the ability to create and deliver professional product ideas and presentations.
• Expertise in financial modelling, operational / financial benchmarking and credit research
• Strong interpersonal skills used within a team environment and in client interaction
