Job summary

Jobtailor in Bengaluru seeks a seasoned Delivery Leader for AI & Data programs. You will own end-to-end delivery, drive governance, and lead multi-discipline teams including data engineers and AI/ML engineers.

You will guide architecture reviews, track delivery metrics, and communicate with senior stakeholders. Insurance domain familiarity is a plus.

• 10+ years in data engineering, AI/ML, or analytics with leadership experience.

Job description

• Own end-to-end delivery accountability for concurrent AI & Data programs against scope, budget, and timeline
• Establish and drive program governance, including sprint cadences, steering committees, risk registers, change control, and delivery dashboards
• Lead technical delivery teams of data engineers, AI/ML engineers, cloud architects, and business analysts, typically 10-30 FTEs
• Identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, and blockers
• Manage scope, effort estimation, and resource allocation
• Provide technical oversight of data platform builds, including ingestion pipelines, transformation layers, semantic models, and analytics APIs
• Guide design and deployment of agentic AI solutions, including agent orchestration, tool integrations, prompt engineering governance, and guardrails
• Conduct architecture reviews, technical spike planning, and code/quality gates
• Champion CI/CD, data observability, lineage, and testing frameworks
• Drive data migration and modernization programs through schema mapping, ETL/ELT, cutover planning, reconciliation, and go-live
• Serve as the primary day-to-day client interface
• Conduct client steering reviews and translate delivery metrics into business-impact narratives
• Identify expansion opportunities through quality delivery

Requirements

• 10+ years in data engineering, AI/ML, or analytics, including at least 4 years in delivery leadership or program management
• Proven track record delivering complex, multi-workstream AI & Data programs in a services/consulting environment
• Hands-on expertise with cloud data warehouses including Snowflake, Databricks, and Redshift
• Expertise in data Lakehouse architectures, including Databricks and Delta Lake
• Experience with orchestration tools including Airflow and dbt
• Working knowledge of agentic AI architectures, LLM orchestration frameworks, RAG pipelines, multi-agent systems, and enterprise deployment patterns
• Strong client-facing communication and ability to present delivery progress, risks, and trade-offs to senior stakeholders
• Experience managing distributed delivery teams using India plus offshore/onshore models
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Preferred: Insurance domain experience
• Preferred: Data migration and modernization project experience
• Preferred: Familiarity with insurance data frameworks, regulatory reporting, and ACORD standards
• Preferred: AWS/Azure Data, Databricks, Snowflake, PMP/SAFe, or equivalent certifications
