Job summary
ExxonMobil India is seeking a highly experienced System Architect to lead the design and architecture of enterprise-grade applications in Bengaluru. You will drive scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technology with business goals.
The role requires deep expertise in cloud-based systems, microservices, and front-end/Back-end integration, with strong emphasis on reliability, security, and governance across platforms such as Azure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- 10+ years of experience in Software development and architecture.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure.
Responsibilities
- Designs and supports the development of technology systems that meet business needs, with a focus on platform operations and reliability.
- Develop and deliver roadmap and planning product lifecycle (DBM record maintenance, upgrades, retirements, etc.).
- Develop and maintain System Architecture models and reference implementations within the system of record.
- Verify stability, interoperability, portability, security, and scalability of the system architecture.
- Works across physical architecture levels to create the physical reference architecture diagrams.
- Evaluate and guide selection of technologies to meet business needs.
- Deep system, product, and/or capability knowledge with infrastructure familiarity.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Architect to lead the design and architecture of enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, software development, strategic thinking capabilities, and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions for the business at ExxonMobil.
- Designs and supports the development of technology systems that meet business needs, with a focus on platform operations and reliability
- Develop and deliver roadmap and planning product lifecycle (DBM record maintenance, upgrades, retirements, etc.)
- Develop and maintain System Architecture models (e.g. System Interaction diagram) and reference implementations within the system of record (e.g. Portfolio Management and Enterprise Architecture tools)
- Verify stability, interoperability, portability, security, and scalability of the system architecture
- Works mostly across physical architecture levels creates the physical reference architecture diagrams
- Evaluate and guide selection of technologies required to introduce new system(s) to meet business needs
- Deep system, product, and/or capability knowledge (recognized expert) – combined with basic infrastructure knowledge and experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- 10+ years of experience in Software development and architecture
- Strong experience with cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure.
- Expertise in designing microservices, serverless architectures, and distributed systems.
- Proficiency in .NET Core, ASP.NET, and front-end frameworks like Angular/React.
- Experience with authentication/authorization using Azure Active Directory (Entra ID).
- Strong understanding of database design and optimization (SQL Server).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with system integration, API design, and enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Exposure to Python and willingness to upskill.
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging systems.
