The Dean will provide strategic and academic leadership to the School of Liberal Studies in Bengaluru, driving academic excellence, curriculum innovation, research growth and student outcomes.
She/he will lead the school’s day-to-day operations, oversee faculty recruitment and development, build industry and academic partnerships, and ensure compliance with UGC/NEP standards while expanding programmes and outreach.
The Dean will provide strategic and academic leadership to the School of Liberal Studies, driving academic excellence, faculty development, curriculum innovation, research, student outcomes and the overall growth of the School.
Lead and oversee the academic, administrative and day-to-day functioning of the School.
Drive curriculum development, interdisciplinary programmes and innovative teaching-learning practices.
Lead faculty recruitment, development, performance management and retention.
Strengthen research culture, publications, collaborations and Centres of Excellence.
Develop new academic programmes, certification courses and emerging areas of study.
Build strong relationships with industry, government bodies, professional associations and national/international universities.
Promote student development through internships, exchange programmes, global immersion and industry engagement.
Support admissions, branding and outreach strategies for the School.
Manage academic resources, budgets, facilities and infrastructure effectively.
Ensure compliance with UGC, NEP and university academic standards.
PhD in Liberal Arts / Humanities / Social Sciences/Economics or a closely related discipline from a reputed institution.
15+ years of academic experience, including significant leadership experience as Dean/Associate Dean/Director/HoD or equivalent.
Strong exposure to Liberal Arts/Liberal Studies, Humanities, Social Sciences or interdisciplinary education.
Demonstrated experience in academic administration, faculty leadership, programme development and research.
Strong networking, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
